As someone who has done it one morning when hung over and heading to class:
You get yelled at by some random authoritarian chick.

If you want to feel some legit awe, go inside the MSC and read the plaques if the MOH recipients' actions.
They were all HAM.
They were all HAM.

you can wear hats in any building but the MSC
you can step on any blade of grass your heart desires as long as it isnt the MSC lawn
im happy to be able to clear that up for you
Why people want to not follow the rules at a memorial for fallen soldiers, I'll never know. I guess there are a lot more democrats and liberals down and Dixie than they let on.

There are 7 of them, correct?

Its a military respect thing. It is one of the things I like about A&M. Just like the honor code. Anyone that can't respect that is a moron.
there are morons everywhere... they tend to take care of each other one way or another though

How do they keep the grass cut?
Posted on 8/28/13 at 3:39 pm to Moustache
I have found very few people wish to do either when they understand what they are doing is disrespecting soldiers that died in combat. It's a Memorial with names and stories all around the building highlighted with the 7 CMH's from WWII.
If you want to do it anyway for fun then for a really great time you should hang out with these folks:

Soooo...I'm going to the AU/A&M game and will probably wear a hat because it will be hot. I have to take it off on certain areas of campus?
Will that be clearly labeled?

The grass is respectfully maintained. It's actually only a very small patch that the grass applies to with signs all over it that was reduced when we rebuilt the MSC. Personally I would prefer they do away with it because it is confusing.
The more common mistake is the hat thing. Lots of people wear caps on gameday and you can walk by the signs asking you to remove them easily. I hate it when Aggies bark at visitors for wearing a hat because it is almost certainly not intentional, courteously asking them to remove it is more effective (and more common).

Just the MSC. plenty of signage. Don't sweat it anyway. If you don't, someone will politely ask you to remove. The hat. It's you're choice after that.

Military memorial yes. It's a military thing to uncover certain places out of respect, i.e. on a ship, you can't go into the medical facilities with anything on your head out of respect for the dead

Once again, just the MSC. And yes it will be

It's raised now, so there is no way to accidentally cut across it. The only reason you would walk on it now is because you were going out of your way to do it.

Hats are only asked to be removed in the Memorial Student Center (MSC) which is essentially diagonal to Kyle. There are signs everywhere but they can be missed if you aren't paying attention. It's just the 1 building.

For how long...like 10 paces past or what?
I get the memorial thing and I can assure you that Au fans who have had traditions altered will be respectful...I just dont want to have to keep taking my hat off and putting it back on while wandering around campus...or ever worse have some a-hole yell at me like I should fricking know.
