There has never been a tradition of not allowing people to walk on kyle field.

Kyle has always been a memorial to those Aggies killed in WWI and until recent times, no one was allowed on it but players (and yell leaders). There are 55 American Flags flying for a reason. I don't remember what year they changed that policy but it certainly was after I was in school

wow

How about, "I don't understand why that idiot thought the right thing to do was to DRAW A SWORD ON ANOTHER MAN".

What I don't get is why the guy in the coat grabbed the cheerleader instead of the over-zealous corptard wielding a sword.

Well, yeah. I can completely understand why someone who is angry enough to hurt someone would pull a sword, that he has immediate access to, out. People do crazy arse things when they're mad. Why he was angry though wasn't something I could understand.

I sure hope you don't have a concealed carry permit.

I've heard of several instances of over-zealous aggie fan barking at other fans instead of politely asking.

Oh God. The horror.

I remember being very hung over and leaving class. I made it all the way to the book store inside the MSC before someone reminded me of my hat. I just kinda froze and said, "oh shite!"

I was so out of it. College... I sure do miss it.

I asked about this earlier as I wasn't familiar with it, though 'Horn fans here seem to take a lot of pleasure with re-posting it. 1981. So I'm in the clear. No wonder the idiot drew his sword or that his OD brethren weren't there to back him up. It all went to hell after I graduated

They did the old kneel behind him and someone in front push thing. It ripped his pants as you can see.

My sophomore year ('76) my company's seniors were the O.D.'s for a game - strangely also against SMU. And there was a similar incident in that game, too, but our dingbat C.O. wasn't dingbat enough to draw his sword. No violence was involved, just a "you need to leave", followed by the SMU cheerleaders leaving. I kinda sorta wonder if that mild incident led to the '81 debacle. The idiot who drew his sword in '81 should have gone to jail.

I like how this question is just stated like this as if the entire A&M campus you are not allowed to wear hats or walk on grass.
It's at a memorial. Just like any memorial, show respect.

If you don't, then you're just a mean person, man.
