We will have to wait and see if it was all about injuries or if Muschamp is really just not a great fit. He is still recruiting like crazy and will get another great class this year, so there really are no excuses next year.

Brent Pease was hired by Chris Petersen to be the new OC at Washington

I thought he was heading there as WR coach, is that not the case?

Is it still a great class after you lose JC Jackson, Ermon Lane, and Dalvin Cook?

Those 3 look very unlikely to end up at UF.

Someone puts up a thread asking why UGA is still part of the Big 6 and 20 minutes later, you made this thread

Cook and Jackson are probably not gonna come to UF. I feel fairly confident that UF has a great shot to get Lane.

I agree, I think UF's best shot is with Lane. Although if Cook swaps to FSU, I think it'll be a coin flip between UF/FSU.

Hypothetically, if UF loses all three, is Muschamp really having a good recruiting year? Obviously there are big names still left on the board like Lorenzo, Adams, Carter, etc.

Wrong. He's the WR coach.

Injuries happened and Pease happened.

The move to Washington will reunite Pease and Petersen, who coached together at Boise State for five years. Pease served as the Broncos' wide receivers coach from 2006 to 2010, and he was offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2011. During his one season as Boise State OC, the Broncos averaged 44 points and 481 yards per game.

I haven't heard if Robert Prince--last year's OC at Bosie St.--went to Washington with Petersen.

Muschamp needed a scapegoat, and Pease probably said "Use me as your scapegoat and let me go to Washington".

Florida has missed a lot the past few years in recruiting on the offensive side of the football. And the players they have landed haven't developed. It doesn't help that they don't have an offensive identity either. I think the next OC hire is crucial. If they miss again they are going to have to eat Muschamps buyout or it will get very ugly in G'ville.

It's all good. Petrino or Strong will be our coach this time next year.

Urban left Muschamp a track team, not a football team.

Ok...you want the TRUTH? You cant handle the TRUTH!

We lost a unbelievable amount of players right from the get go. Remember last April UF couldn't even have a spring game because there wasn't enough healthy OL to have two teams...that was the sign of things to come.

We lose Chaz Green a starter at ROT, we lose Driskel and Easley after 3 games and then the skies opened up. We ended up losing 3 OTs,,,we had guards playing OT out of position. One potential 2 deep OT had already transferred out before season started and we were doomed. Second string qb is beat up like a rag doll against LSU & Mizzou. His shoulder was badly hurt and he should not even been on the damn field against Mizzou. We then go to THIRD string frosh qb and we held team together with tape and bailing wire. Then we really went down for the count with LB injuries and against Georgia Southern we were down SEVEN scholly LBers, a starter at DE and had walk on and true frosh playing a lot of snaps....with a THIRD string qb. Saban, Lombardi or Mother Mary couldn't have done much with this team at that point.

Even with the above UF didn't get blown out badly or humiliated like Arkie has had happened. Watch out next year cause we coming for it.

Injuries were really, really bad. Still think with Driskel at QB we win 6-8 games or so.. Full health maybe 9? Either way, problems are much bigger. Terrible offensive coordinators for years, and PLAYER DEVELOPMENT.

Player development has been atrocious over the past 3 or 4 years. So many busts/underachievers. Driskel was the number 1 QB recruit... lol. Ronald Powell was the #1 player in the country... lol. DJ humpheries was the #2 player in the country... holy shite lol.

That is only the beginning.
