I think that part is pretty easy to figure out as well. Last cycle brought a lot of attention on A&M, with the vast majority of it probably being unwanted attention. Some of that attention probably poked around at places that made A&M uncomfortable. Couple that with the field catching up, you have this.

I will say this...since the stupid press conference and going after the king....hasnt looked good for the aggies

Nick did exactly what he wanted to do by triggering Jimbo to make a complete arse of himself in front of the college football world. He could have called Saban out without looking like a melting buffoon. Saban comes back with a calm response, admittIng he should not have mentioned a specific school, while also correctly pointing out that he never said A&M did anything illegal or against NCAA rules.

It’s pretty simple, the class was mostly done by the time the OU/Texas announcement was made, and with the massive coaching changes at major programs they lucked out being second choice for some high rated recruits like Dindy. Now that the OU Texas move is known they are back to getting what’s left after OU and Texas in state.

Maybe they ran out of money. That was a very expensive class they bought last year. Even for schools like A&M who “claim”to be so stinking rich
