Upvote if you think Ole Miss is in a better position. Downvote if you think LSU is in a better position.

And of course commentary is encouraged.

LSU will always be in a better position. Better recruiting area, better talent, more money for NIL. Not even close.

Ole Miss is a bottom dweller enjoying the benefits of having an explosive offense under LK

Well said, I couldn’t have said it better myself. It doesn’t mean Ole Miss can’t rise up and beat LSU every now and then, but the program ceilings and floors are not congruent

Better recruiting area

I question that.

Mississippi has always been a hotbed for talent .... tons of talent. The problems for the Mississippi schools are:

1 - everybody recruits Mississippi. Everybody. There have been plenty of years when the top 5-10 players would sign out of state.
2 - two SEC members in Mississippi competing against one another.
3 - they used to have real qualifying issues, grades wise, out of their HS system ... but they also had a feeder JUCO ... Greenwood or Green something or other. Duce Staley was placed there. I just can't make my brain pull it up.
4 - .... I can't remember what 4 was. It flew out of my brain. I'm watching Trump on Gutfeld. ETA: Oh, I just remembered. LSU owns LA, they have no real instate competition. LaLa, La Tech, et al, get the leftovers.

When was the last time LA lost an instate player? There can't be many.

I'd be willing to bet that MS produces nearly as much, if not more, HS football talent as LA ... on average, over a given sample of time.

Better position for what? Kiffin hasn’t built things to last but he has gotten everyone to go all in on a run this season. Their short term outlook is great but the long term remains to be seen.

LSU has talent but Kelly’s teams have been soft. S&C and more creativity on offense would help them a great deal.

That reads like something a LSU fan would post.

As of this season, Ole Miss. After these first 3 games this season I’m seriously having doubts about BK. Maybe I’m a slow learner, I don’t know. Love the way he’s recruiting, love the staff, there’s just something missing and I feel like it may be at the top. LSU starts slow almost every game, they lack the fire and physicality of the Saban, Miles, and Orgeron teams. I’d trade BK for Lane

Historically LSU is way above Ole Miss. But if we are talking today, this year and heading into next year all things the same it's Ole Miss and it's not really close.

Lane has done a great job navigating the portal and has set himself up nicely. Kelly just seems like he has no idea what the frick he is doing anymore.

It’s not even close. Ol Miss is by far. That is unless Laney leaves for FL or somewhere else.

LSU has a slightly better than average coach with the potential to be a fired coach.
Ole Miss has a good coach with the potential to be a great coach
LSU is currently recruiting well, but it won’t matter if they keep playing like they have been to start the season. Haven’t even gotten to the tough part of their schedule yet and almost (should) have 2 L’s.
So to me, this answer is obviously Ole Miss. I say they win by default

At the moment Ole Miss, but unless something changes they don’t have the staying power LSU does.

Literally every year in history.

LSU just signed 9 of the top 10 in state and I'm not sure that's ever happened before.

Votes so far are 45-21 in favor of Ole Miss.

Coincidentally, that will also be the score of the Ole Miss - LSU game.

Hey, it was really close to that last time Ole Myth visited LSU!

The Fightin' Freshwaters seem like a team built for a one year shot at glory, and that year is this one. Not sure Lane can sustain this season after season if they don't reach the promised land in January.
