If Rivers leaves, what does that do, if anything, to that position?

Rob "Sleeping Giant" Bolden has a clear path now.

ETA: for cereal we'll have four scholly QBs, Jennings is the starter, Harris and Rettig will battle for the back-up job, with a slight chance either overtakes Jennings in the spring. Rettig has an outside shot of earning the start if he blows up in the spring. If shite really hits the fan, Bolden is the safety net and you may not see a forward pass all year.

Leaves Anthony Jennings, Hayden Rettig, Rob Bolden and incoming freshman Brandon Harris. Rivers was never going to see the field anyway. not much of a loss.

Doesn't JJ9 still have eligibility?

I hope so.

According to his brother, he is leaving after graduation in May.

In effect, nothing. He had a number of younger guys ahead of him. He wasn't going to see the field. Rivers was taken as a project but it just didn't work out.

You take the interweb way too seriously, especially when it comes to LSU.

Obvious joke is obvious. I think there may be a problem with your jimmies or something.

Yeah. Just read that after you posted it. Seems like they have a bunch of kids at the QB spot. Almost looks like Bama's RB roster......

LSU fans should be rooting for Brandon Harris. If he can get ahead of the freshman learning curve (tough to do), he's a MUCH better football player than Jennings. As an A&M fan, I'm rooting like hell than Jennings is the starter when they come to Kyle in November.

We've seen Jennings play 2 games.

We haven't seen Harris play anything but HS.

Don't sleep on Rettig.

Jennings is much better than he played in the bowl game, and he'll have a very good OL to depend on. There's almost no chance a true freshman comes in and jumps to the top. If he does then SEC fuuuct.

I've seen Harris play quite a bit, and he was a better passer as a junior in high school than Jennings was by the end of last season.

Harris is gonna be a monster and was woefully underrated near the bottom of the national top-100.

VS inferior competition. Plus, as I mentioned we haven't seen enough of Jennings to make a definitive statement.
