I won't argue this point. I wonder could we get "to much Bama in me" deemed medical condition.

FWIW, that's not the crime

Community service, hefty fine and a "war damn eagle" tat should do it

It's apparent you're all only acting this way because he claims to be a Bama fan. If one of your own fratboys had done this as a drunken prank, you wouldn't be so vitriolic and draconian in your collective revenge fantasy.
It doesn't matter who it is, it just makes the pissing match much worse.
This is a tradition that is not offensive to anyone, it is Auburn's own little tradition to itself. A frat boy would be destroyed if he were found fricking up the trees.
I can't excuse the stupid shite even Auburn fans say about the electric chair, but you only feed the trolls and prove them right when you take a stake in his legal outcome.

This post is a prefect example of the problem with punishing him, you guys want him to suffer because of what he did to Auburn, not for the actual crime he committed.
How do you not understand that the crime he commited happened on Auburn University property and has costs the University and the City thousands of dollars...and then are surprised that we want him to pay for that?
Getting past the symbolic nature of OUR trees, the sheer fact that he blatantly used a poison in a very public place with no regard to public safety or secondary health implications is no different that firing agun into a crowd and luckily missing everyone.
Hey, nobody got hurt so I guess thats ok too.

What evidence does anyone have that he is crazy? If committing a stupid crime made you crazy, the jails would be empty and the hospitals would be full.

parkjas2001, come the frick on. You can buy it at the co-op. He wasn't mixing chemicals. If authorities were worried about people "handling" Spike . . do you think they'd make it pretty accessible ? frick.
Also, for the national story. It is a national story. An article was on the front page of ESPN last night. Doesn't get any more national than that.
As for Punishment:
15 days in jail.
5 year probation
and 250 community service hours.

I don't understand how some of you are dense enough to keep suggesting a fine. He's a broke dick. He's got nothing. He named his children Bear Bryant and Crimson Tyde. People that do that don't meet with their Northwestern Mutual adviser on the reg.
That's a zero sentence. You could fine him $5,000,000 or $100,000 and it would have virtually the same chance of ever being paid.

ETA: I only use the phrase "taken a stake" because you did. I'm offering an opinion of what his sentence should be, just like all the other fans. I don't really have a stake in it. It's not gonna affect me in any way no matter the outcome.

Jail until the next Iron Bowl at Aburn. Then to the 50 yd line at 1/2 time. Pat Dye beheads him with a broken Jim Bean bottle. Bury him at Tommers Corner. That way fans can roll his grave after a win over Mexico St or Troy.

I kind of hope he gets a lengthy prison sentence. The Bama fans that think he's a disgrace will be happy, the Auburn fans will be happy, & the Harvey apologists like genro will be pissed. Win-win situation.

quick question...since you seem well versed on the legal aspect of this.
What sentence do you think he should get
Now...what'd the guy get who poisoned the treaty oak?

I'm telling you, hypnotize the guy and convince him it is 2002 and Mike Shula has just been hired.

You can also buy bleach at Publix. That doesnt excuse him or anyone else in the matter of which it is handled or used.
Y'all can spin this anyway you want. This jackass is lucky as shite that only two trees were destroyed.

He may be a broke dick but he was at the game on 1/9 if he can go to that, ha can pay a fine 10k sounds good to me.

I think he will get hit pretty hard though. Aren't half of his felonies federal ?
