What did Bama fans do from 1992-2009?

Serious question.
Was it "we'll gettem next year" or "we're Bama, the bear is the best" or "we still have 45 National Titles.....even though Notre Dame beat us that on year"...
Seriously what was the average Bama fans spin on their program in that 17 year span?

The word "tradition" got driven into the ground.

Ballsy for an LSU fan to bring up the 90's.
But I guess we did the same thing LSU fans did from 1958-2003.

Basically lots of talk about the Bear and "Got 12?".....mostly shite like that. Any time you hear fans constantly talk about tradition, you know they currently suck. See Nebraska.

real fans remained loyal. it was a tough stretch. years without a single 5* recruit or nfl draftee and shite coaches.

Basically the same thing Tennessee fans have been doing since 2007

They won as many SEC titles as y'all did during that span.

There was that one year that Shaun Alexander ran LSU into the ground. I lived on that for several years.

1999 we won the sec... beat UF twice that year, we didn't even cry about them being on our schedule or a fricking rematch.

I think Tennessee would be a better audience to that question. They are IN IT

" the bear was the greatest coach ever" or they didn't watch much football. Living in this state was awesome. It was split 50\50 Auburn\Alabama. Now every redneck in the state screams row tyde. I work with at least 5 people who sported Auburn gear now they have too much bama in them.

Every member of the Big 6 goes through a slump, nobody is immune to it. And if you're not in one now, your time is coming, it is inevitable.

Well in 1993 we were serious title contenders into the month of November when we got upset by LSU. In 1994 we fell one point shy of an undefeated season and a chance to play Nebraska for the national championship. 1995 was not going to happen because of probation and a bowl ban so the 8-3 season really didn't hurt us that much. However, the way we lost to Auburn to end the season really hurt. In 1996 we were 7-0 going into the Tennessee game, and were leading the Volunteers 13-0 in the second half, when it all fell apart. So while Stallings was there we were in the thick of it almost every season, winning an average of 10 games per year.
The Mike DuBose era needs no explanation. We were a joke in 1997 and weren't much better in 1998. A surprise SEC championship season in 1999 gave us hope that we were heading in the right direction until the disastrous season of 2000 set us straight. The Franchione years weren't too bad and might have amounted to something had the Albert Means scandal (a legacy of the DuBose years) not run him off.
No honest Alabama fan will say they expected much from Mike Shula. 2003 and 2004 were given to him as passes due to the extreme scholarship sanctions he was facing. The 10-win 2005 season gave us all hope for the future, but the mediocre 6-7 season of 2006 taught us that Shula was not the man for the job.
Nick Saban was given a pass in 2007 due to what he had to work with, but the year of 2008 was incredible - even if it did end in disappointment. We knew we were heading in the right direction going into that magical 2009 season.
