16 teams. 15 opponents. 3 permanent, so everyone can protect their top 2 rivalries. that leaves 12 others. you play 6 home and home for two years, then the other 6 the next two years. 9 games. 9 games total.
im also okay with a 1 and 7 model:
Bama/Auburn
Georgia/Florida
A&M/LSU
Texas/OU
Miss/miss St
Ark/Mizzou
Vandy/Tennessee
Kentucky/SC
or switch those last two

I've heard this repeated often, but why would anything change unless we go to 9 conference games? ESPN is going to have to pay the price and I don't see this being put on Sanky's schedule because it's been 2 years. That will get done when it gets done.
With that said, our schedule for the next 2 years looks like it always has with any of our so-called rivals. Is anyone else missing their long-heated rivals on their schedule?

Come on man! Get on the bandwagon. Renew your end of season rivalry with the Tulane Green Wave! They are legit now and are competitive. It would be fun to do so.
Then, the other rivalries can line up nicely or continue i.e. OK-OK State, TX-AM, Arky-Mizzou.

It's going to be so weird losing so many of these games. It already feels wrong by us not playing South Carolina this year.

It's disappointing. I have a bunch of UGA coworkers and old friends that went to UGA and it's not the same this year with us not playing each other. They hate it as well.
