Yea because you idiots are watching the weather channel and cnn and think you know better than I do the impact and areas of devastation.

You don't. I'm sure those channels are making it seem like all of the greater Cola area is still underwater when in fact there were only small and isolated areas of catastrophic flooding

Actually a lot of us are looking at actual damage reports and not just basing things on scary pictures and sensationalist reporting.

Bottom line is your infrastructure is fricked at the moment. Drinking water isn't easy to come by. There is a shite load of stuff to clean up. These are all facts that point to the idea of Columbia hosting a football game in 4 days is a bad idea. No LSU fan is happy saying that. We've dealt with nature kicking us in the gut and feel your pain.

Judging by this thread we sure seemed to know more than the Carolina fans... Look, unfortunately we have expereince with these things. That is why we started this thread well in advance. For whatever reason, Carolina fans took offense to that and said we had no idea what the hell we were talking about. Well....... apparantly we do

Do you want a fricking medal? Nothing has been decided yet, and the plan is to still play it in WBS.

Yep. The infrastructure nightmare that these things bring is huge. CNB and others were simply looking in there backyard and saying, "It is fine. Game will be played here."

CNB you are a good dude but you douched all over this thread It happens to even me sometimes

There aren't any roads with water on them in Cola.

If you really think you've got a better grasp of the situation by watching the weather channel than the AD who is talking to SC officials, then I don't know what to tell you

Well, I didn't really have an opinion on the matter, but now I hope they move they game if for no other reason than... well... you.

So was Katrina radioactive and gave y'all superpowers or what?

This isn't even really a hurricane either. It was just rain, no wind

Why are you being so defensively douchey in here? Im sorry we were right that the game might be moved due to the weather. Im sorry we discussed the potential to move the game just like your own AD is doing. I have huge empathy for this whole situation. But I have no sympathy or clue why you have been so defensive?

just a little rain right? 17 people dead because of flooding and people are still missing.

but just a little rain. look I know you want to downplay it, but you're not thinking about all of the disaster relief workers, national guardsmen, and other emergency relief that will go into the recovery of the area. the roads are fricked up. how can you deny that?

LSU fans know what you're going through and then some. we empathize. no need to be a dick.

Actually, since they avoided the high winds, they don't have to deal with all the down power lines and blocked roads from downed trees and limbs. This could get all cleared up by Thursday.

...but maybe not., it's still too early to know - but not too early to speculate. It's never too early to speculate.

I'm not trying to downplay but not having strong winds definitely kept this thing from being worse

No you don't and the vast majority of y'all posting in this thread aren't empathizing. Y'all are telling us whats going to happen when you don't fricking know and we have a better understanding of the situation than you do.
