If you get your weather information and learn about systems, hurricanes, etc. from the freaking tonight show and from hysterical headlines in the British "press," or even in the press in general, I can't help you.
I suppose I could post weather maps of that week, day by day, and explain... but that would deprive the parvenu from exercising their initiative by searching on line for 10 minutes.
Wild-chap... please note: "combination of tropical moisture and a non-tropical system." I question the "tropical moisture" part.
...actually I enjoy your posts and your imaginative use of language. My favorite of your recent? "Who stepped on your mangy tail?" I laughed at the imagery. My compliments...

I'm sorry LSU fans when I posted initially today (first time in a few days), I was a little bent out of shape. Been a stressful weekend/week so was on edge. Hope the game is played in Columbia and you all can make the trip. If not Columbia, hopefully they can work at getting the game played in Bank of America stadium.

the LSU fanbase knows what it's like to be going through what y'all are going through now...
remember post Katrina, the Arizona State game was moved from Baton Rouge to Tempe at the last minute...we've been there and understand the logistical issues involved...

yes you're so smart. tell us more about how the hurricane had nothing to do with this flooding.

That's completely understandable, don't mention it.
Personally I'm hoping that the media is blowing this out of proportion and that the game will be played in a sunny and dry Williams-Brice Stadium, with the flood already a fading memory.

No one really cares what you question.
Your best bet is to just log out for a while - trust me.

For the record I also do like LSU fans. I've never had a run in with anyone. I did see fans MANY years ago harassing a little girl but they were stupid drunk, and I know that doesn't represent LSU fans.
We all have our drunkenly stupid fans.

Log out? While doing god's work and educating the uneducated? Here are two links to NOAA sites. The first is the map of the track of this storm. Notice it doesn't get within 500 miles of South Carolina.
The second is a link to the historical warnings issued every few hours by the NOAA about this storm and its effects.
You can check all you want...they warned about big swells on New Jersey beaches, rainfall in Cuba, wind on Bermuda... let me know when you find that they warned about Joaquin's effect on South Carolina.
When you don't know anything about what you are talking about, and are talking to someone who does, it doesn't do your reputation to default to the ever-popular "everyone knows" BS argument. Everyone DOESN"T know... especially you.

Dude, just stop.
It's not about the tracking hurricane strength winds, it's about available atmospheric moisture.

@JoshatTheState: Ray Tanner: "We are not 100 percent sure that we will have a game at Williams-Brice at this time." Final decision in 24-36 hours

I don't understand this? I suggest you people look at the NOAA site and try to understand, I've made it easy for you. Do ya'll really think a hurricane can be responsible for another natural disaster 500 miles removed? A hurricane passing over S. Florida can cause flooding in New Orleans? Stupid? Just look at the freaking data ...
This storm was a result of mid-latitude air mass interaction... and those interactions also steered the hurricane... but the hurricane did not cause the flooding...
Oh well...the damage is bad enough so it probably makes little difference what people think the cause is ... but it isn't hurricane damage like Katrina, Rita, etc.
Jeezzzz..."everyone knows..." freaking idiots...
