For me, I can't wrap my head around how Florida has beaten Kentucky 31 times consecutively. That is insane.

Also that Georgia hasn't won a national title since 1980

Auburn paid a coach Saban money that hasn't had consecutive back to back 10 win seasons.

Arkansas dropped the national championship game by being unable to catch foul ball in the bottom of the 9th with two outs

That until UGA did last year, that no SEC team had played in the Rose Bowl game since 1946

The number of games Bama has won by more than 14 points vs the number it has lost by more than 14 in the last 10 years. The latter number is 0. I lost track of the former but it is astounding, especially when compared to the rest of the conference.

Alabama beating Ole Miss 66-3 after Ole Miss was very close to having a 3 game winning streak over Bama isn't crazy or amazing, but goddamn when REC finally gets it's revenge, they go all out...

For my team...

UT went 15 consecutive games without being scored on (November 1938 through December 1939).

In his senior season, Kyle Macy hit 91.2% of his free throws (104 of 114) and hit 89% the whole time he was at Kentucky. I don't even know if it is a record or not...but that is who I copied whenever I would shoot free throws when I was a kid.

Alabama has been ranked #1 in the AP poll at some point for a record 10 straight seasons and almost assuredly will make it 11. The next closest is Miami with 7 from 85-92. This record may never be broken.

Saban's entire starting offense on the 2012 opening game was on an NFL roster in 2015

Florida has never had an undefeated season.

Florida has never had a perfect season (unbeaten and untied).

That's because the SEC, along with all other conferences but the Big10, was not allowed to play in the Rose Bowl after the 1946 game in which Alabama crushed USC 34-14. It would be the last "open" Rose Bowl til approx 2005. 1946 capped off a 21 year stretch in which Bama went 4-1-1 in Rose Bowls, the rest of the country went 4-11. Alabama's 1925 and 26 appearances put Southern football on the map. They were treated like conquering heroes on their return train trip. Stopping in New Orleans and other places to be regaled by Southern fans, including LSU fans and AU fans. That appreciation and unity would disappear in coming decades as jealousy would consume so many. Many Southern schools would follow Alabama's and George Denny's lead in understanding the value that football could add to a University.

Bama appropriately played for its first NC under Saban in the Rose Bowl in 2009, but they didn't call it the Rose Bowl, just the BCS NC game.

The Bulldogs have won 34 games in the past four seasons. Alabama is the only SEC West team with more Ws in that span.

Eh. The past is the past. I like what we are doing right now. Let other, lesser teams worry about the past.

Eh. You're losing to Bama in big games and not winning NC's. You're doing the exact same thing as every other team, sans Auburn, Clemson, and Ohio State.
