Sad to think how bandwaggonish the majority is.

I actually think it’s an offense to the alum who earned their fandom.

I'll go out on a limb and say that 100% of Bama's fans have set foot in a classroom.

The University of Alabama is an illusion. We have no actual students or graduates.

I don’t consider a fan who didn’t attend the university to automatically be a “bandwagon” fan. I consider a bandwagon fan one who jumps on the wagon when a team is good and jumps off when they’re bad. I suspect a lot of Bama fans I see in south Ga are bandwagon fans and were probably Gator fans a decade ago. But I don’t consider Joe power company worker from Andalusia who has loved the Tide his whole life to be “bandwagon” fan.

Maybe it’s just me?

Why do you care? Every school has many fans that didn’t attend the university. Maybe their parent/sibling/best friend went there, or maybe they live in the area and support the local team. None of it is worth questioning someone’s fandom over.

These kinds of threads are started all the time by pompous people who act like attending is the only reason to follow a team.

Then, may I ask what the qualification is for enjoying a pro-team? Just asking for a friend.

There's a difference between bandwagon fans and sidewalk fans. Bama has a lot of both. Being a sidewalk fan isn't a bad thing, but being a bandwagon fan and swapping your window sticker when Bama is down and the Barn is up is shitty.

Frankly, some of the worst fans are bandwagon fans.

Don't lie.

You'd be on here bragging like hell if you went to places outside of LA and saw LSU gear everywhere. Don't even lie.

Does stepping in an LSU classroom even count as going to college?

Or is it just an advanced high school?

If your friend is a Falcons fan, then low standards and no dignity.

Dumbest Argument ever made.

What that argument basically says, is that only a mother could love you.

Furthermore you don't even understand what a bandwagon fan really is.
A bandwagon fan is a fan that switches their allegiance to a team that is currently on top.
