The president of the university visited him, the guy is the #1 target and was offered the job. We'll see how this plays out.

It will play out with Kelly in UCLA. It is just a better fit for him. He's a west coast/Pac 12 kind of guy. It is nothing personal, and it doesn't mean UCLA is a better job. It is just a better job for him. UF will get a good coach, just not this one.

Baw, it’s not hard to figure out. Y’all thought if you fly up there to see him, he was flying back to Gainesville as the coach (hence, some going nuts with a tweet saying it was a done deal)...he does not commit...Stricklin is shocked and flies back with his tail tuck between his legs. Damage control is in full effect.

If Kelly is not announced by Monday or Tuesday next week, I would not want to be Scott Stricklin.
There has been a lot of clickbait by UF sites in all of this with saying it is a "done deal" over and over. It is clear that they don't have sources.

To be fair, he pushed back his original deadline of last Friday to today. Then declared it wouldn’t happen until the end of the season.

Does that article make sense? It says UF didn't offer Kelly the job but then goes on to say Kelly will take his time considering the offers. Is Kelly considering an imaginary offer?

I was under the impression that this was the place to spread interweb rumors. I've learned that certain posters like to start stuff... then it seems as if certain sports "news" sites take the blog stuff and then run with it as truth. Gatorbait is probably Jimmy Sexton or some 12 year old nephew or something he is paying an allowance to... creating fake demand allows him to boost contract size thus getting paid more.

The guy was posting all day erryday about chip to UF and suddenly he goes dark. The best part of his post yesterday was that there is no way UCLA gets Chip because Chip approached UF.
So to get this straight, Chip Kelly approached a team with a coaching vacancy about coaching (UF) then another coaching vacancy opens up (UCLA) but Chip wouldn't possibly even entertain the thought of going to that school (UCLA) because "hey he approached us" (UF)

They offered him the job. You don’t fly up with the big wigs, Strickland and the President unless you are thinking he flying to Gainesville with an orange tie.

End of the season of UF's season makes sense.
There has been only one non-interim coach hired with games left to be played and that was Bob Davis with New Mexico. Not really a big time school.
God help UF fans collective mental state if Chip is not announced by next Wednesday. True panic will set in.
