This is great. We need more rivalry hate.

I'm disappointed that Pitt never wears "13-9" helmets when they play WVU.

I know it probably doesn't make sense money wise, but WVU and VT in the SEC would be fun from a fan perspective. Both need to get back on their feet a bit, but their fanbases are great.

I'm way more in favor of these two than some of the others that are thrown out there (NC State, Virginia, etc.)

What’s with sec fanbases and worshipping classless chants

The best non-SEC road games I have ever been to, a ranking.

1. West Virginia. Besides tailgating on asphalt, they are an SEC school.
2. Oklahoma State. Underrated, Passionate fanbase, feels more SEC than Oklahoma.
3. BYU. Scenery was unreal.

Kansas is 11th in soybean output.

Arkansas is 10th.

Missouri is 7th.

Good rivalries with

UK
Tenn
VT
WVu

All played same day at Bristol like Alabama/miss and LSU/miss state used to do in Jackson.

I'll never understand the WV hype, they add nothing. Their stadium is 50% full most games

Did I get you to look that up or do you just know these things?

They light couches on fire, and that's incredibly on brand for the sec.

WVU is the Poland of college football. All of their former conference-mates raped them, some repeatedly. They deserve better.

Not shocking they can't fill their stadium, though. There is zero interest in the Big 12 here (Pittsburgh area). If they're frequently matched with Kentucky/Tennessee/VA Tech, there would be a ton of interest

Is this why West Virginia stinks against big 12 competition

There's a lot of reasons, but that's partially one of the reasons. Big 12 might as well be G5 at this point and next year will be even worse, and that's not even mentioning the fact that they're 700 miles away from everyone else. It's like Purdue playing in the Sun Belt

Back in our Independent days our "conference schedule" was basically VT, WVU, FSU, Ga Tech every year with some Pitt, Notre Dame, Memphis, Tulane, etc., thrown in plus we played UGA regularly.

It was pretty cool actually.

We always had the biggest stadium with the most sellouts among the Independents we played (I don't think we ever played Pedo State for some reason) .... but the Independent days weren't bad and our rabid fan-following set us up for the SEC invite.

Everyone should attend a game at Va Tech and WVU. They're fan bases are outstanding.
