Is UT elite? As a program, yes. As a team,no. But I think they're on the right track.
texas is good but not elite
Elite = Alabama / Oklahoma / Ohio State / Southern Cal
texas is in with the other 3 and 4 MNC schools like Georgia Tech and Florida. Granted this is way better than most, but not elite.

I was talking about 2018 not the 50's.
I was differentiating between a single year and a full history.
Saying texas 2018 and Kentucky 1950 are small sample sizes no matter the year or age. Over the long window of years and decades texas is not elite like schools with 10 or more MNC's. They are more like 2nd tier to 3rd tier good with say 2 to 6 MNC's which is still better than probably 80% of FBS football.

Accurate and generous post. I was impressed with the overall Texas scene, facilities, fans, and your team. Your offense is one of the best in the US, and your kids NEVER gave up. Will pull for you in Big 12.

I joke about people saying dumb shite on this site, but you are actually really, really dumb.
Damn.
You need to reread your post(s), I do not think the fans played a Power 5 team.
At least be consistent and differentiate between fans and players, you are confusing the two.
Goodness child.... increase the dosage of Aricept

Just because we are both old dudes not make us the same person, just means we have the same historic lens due to age. Sounds like some age discrimination on your part.

You would like that so some old fart can not call you out for texas being in the same class as the real elite FBS college football schools
Alabama
Oklahoma
Ohio State
Southern California
Each is the clear leader of a region of the US
In the region of texas...
Oklahoma > Nebraska > texas > Arkansas
(based on historic geography of SWC / Big 8 / Big 12 schools)

My concern, and I'll eat a few down votes for this, is that the LSU defense had several chances to seal the deal down the stretch and failed to do so. With a couple of stops in the 4th quarter this is blowout win for the Bayou Bengals.
Agreed, we've got 4 weeks to fix it. I'm hoping the 2nd half D was more of an exception than the rule.

You still have no idea and I find it moderately amusing.

I guess your figuring out that if you do anything but brag on The Alabama Crimson Pigs on this page their moronic fan-base, as toothless as they are, will come out of the wood and trash you. It was a Great Game on Saturday night. Good luck to Texas the rest of the season! Geaux Tigers!!!

Good thing we have a different offense this year. LSU will put up quite a few points against that “badass” Bama defense. Saban will lose his shite wondering how to stop it

You guys have TT9's stupid arse agreeing with cajunbama. That sky screaming bitch is rustled as hell.

Nebraska in the "region of Texas"?
I mean, I drove from Dallas to Plainview, Nebraska - that's 850 miles.
I drove it in eight hours, but still.
