This is priceless, so many Lsu fans thought we would be sad or something to lose the Friday game, and now you guys have to play on Thursday because Aggy said so.

Yes, and we will keep our Friday game every year.

Its easy to see who tells and who is told what to do in this conference.

Like all of LSU's "rivalries", it will be short lived, as Texas will eventually come back to playing A&M. That's if it ever even gets off the ground - as long as Saban is at Bama, the Bama game will be bigger than the A&M game.

I liked the LSU/Arkansas game. That actually had drama most years, no matter who was favored.

I liked the game on Friday after Thanksgiving and I think it served its purpose. It got me caring about beating LSU. I think that will carry over even now that it is in the middle of the season. Plus, I see us having an easier W at the end of the season as a good thing. I thought I would be much more upset about this than I am.

Yes, them frickers really hated each other back in the day when they used to get it on. I think this rivalry is gonna get nasty again in a few years.

i honestly really don't care who we play when b/c we're still playing but why do/did they hate each other? i must not have been paying attention then.

Unlike the Arkansas rivalry, LSU actually has a history with A&M. Everything about the two schools has the making for a rivalry IMO. Two huge fan bases, huge stadiums. I could see these two teams hating each other even when one (or both) isn't good. That's a real rivalry. Florida-Tennessee was a situational rivalry. I think LSU-A&M is a natural rivalry.

Well if you want to bring history into the discussion, Lsu and Aggy always played each other the first game of the season, not the last.

Also, Arkansas has played Lsu more times than Aggy has.

A&M and LSU played 50 times before entering the SEC; to be fair, 44 times before 1992.

Arkansas and LSU played 37 times before Arkansas entered the SEC in 1992; when they began playing every year.

i guess people just view a&m differently than i do. i never thought they were horrible or exceptional or worthy of hate in any manner.
