go find a proper SEC belle who knows how to order her priorities.

There are a few of us around fwiw. I would never schedule anything on a game day. My best friend got married last year during the Ole Miss game. She wouldn't change it, so I told her I couldn't be in her wedding. What the heck is wrong with people?

I have ran into that problem twice and both times I located the nearest bar to the wedding and the minute the wedding was over I was gone to the bar! Make your appearance and get going! Chances are that the marriage wont last anyways but that game could be a classic

I read a book called Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer. It's a documentary about a Bama fan, who also happens to be a journalist for the NY Times, who goes to all the Bama games one season with his beat up RV. He interviews lots of Bama fans in the process(<--unintentional). One of the couples that he talked to said their daughter scheduled her wedding during the Bama-Tenn game. They didn't make the wedding. They said they warned her though, and she still scheduled it on the "3rd Sat in Oct".

I wouldn't go, matter of fact my brother got married a few years ago and I gave him a LSU schedule. I told him and his fiance to work around it if they wanted me there. He said I already did

Why would you want to get marrried during football season?

I got married on the day of the Iron Bowl. I didn't once go down and look at the television. It was her biggest moment and I did everything I could to make it special for us both. Sadly, she passed away on May 2nd, leaving behind a 3 year old and a 19 month old. At the time, I wanted to watch the game, but now, I am so glad that I gave her all the attention I could. It's one thing I don't have to second guess for the rest of my life.

1st. Sorry for your loss, couldn't imagine the heartache, but hope you remember the good times more than anything.

2nd. Good man and you know what's truly important. It seems too many don't now a days. Hope your post helps some to realize what is important and where priorities should be.

Love how this post is entitled Wedding During The Game rather than Game during The Wedding

Really indicates your perspective and priorities....

I've gone to a wedding on game day and it's normally not too bad. If the service is short just hit the bar and find the TV. Most guys will be there anyhow. Let the women keep each other company and weep about how beautiful it is.
