UT = University of Texas to most of the entire country...
So? UT is Tennessee and it will stay that way. Everyone in the SEC will simply refer to Texas as "Texas". It's that simple.

We find the answer in the founding of these schools
Tennessee founded in 1794 UT
and several years later Texas University founded in 1883 tu
Since the 2nd largest school in Texas school was founded nearly 90 years after Tennessee was established, we all can agree Tennessee is called UT and Texas University shall be called Hey You!

It will always be Tennessee. Texas will be Texas

How many times will Aggies start this thread?

It is a rarity to hear any Texas fan say UT. Nearly all Texas fans say "Texas" or "Longhorns". It really is a non issue. Tennessee can continue as "UT" and Texas as "Texas". Problem solved.

Works for me. However, I’m sure an Ag will come along and not like it.

Neither is UT now.
UTk and UTa.
UTk and UTa.

UT is University of Tennessee in the SEC
I refuse to call Texas that. They are UTjr.
*UT fans. remember that when you write about USC.

When I see UT, I think of the University of Texas

Tennessee was here first. They have the rights
None of that shite matters. Texas has the money and the bullshite walks. Texas will end up keeping UT and Tennessee will be called UTK.
Just watch and see. This shite will be the ball that gets the Texas power grab rolling. They'll shitify the SEC just like they did the Big 12.

Tennessee can have it because I'm tired of their incessant cries of "We're the real UT!"
Of course, if they were they wouldn't have to repeatedly declare it, but whatever. We're Texas, or the Longhorns, or the Horns, or whatever bitchtittied moniker you meauxs wanna come up with. It don't make a shite.

UT is Tennessee. Period. OG SEC. You frickin Jerry-come-latelys will be UTx which is commensurate with your tranny vibes.
Posted on 7/1/24 at 12:40 pm to AggieArchitect2004
No one in Texas cares. Tennessee wore UT caps in the College World Series. Texas never does, except in minor trim on some unis. We use the Longhorn logo.

As long as aggy is still know as Texas arse to mouth,

Posted on 7/1/24 at 12:47 pm to AggieArchitect2004
This is so fricking petty, I don't give a shite honestly.

Actually not true. Did a test of this in California on a business trip……mentioned UT and the person automatically assumed Knoxville

It's not wrong, but it also doesn't matter.
Call Tennessee UT and call us whatever pet name you snowflakes desire.

It's the same for USC - which the other USC isn't even an SEC team but yet this has been settled for a while. We have USCe and USCw.
For UT we have UTk and UTa. I'm sure it's not too hard to know which is which.
Personally I just call them texas or horns. Lower case 't', of course, so we know we're not talking about the state itself.

How many threads do we need about this? Good thing Southern Cal didn't join.
