Good enough to beat OU obviously. Good enough to beat A&M if we show up and get a little lucky with some TO’s that bounce our way maybe.

But not good enough to beat tOSU or Georgia on the road. Either one of those happen and it’s a different season, even with crapping the bed against a truly weird Florida team this year. They look so bad at times and the also pretty good, like Schrodeingers Gator.

Anyways, long way to say, beating OU was a highlight and we can salvage the season for me with an Aggy win, but expectations were never set correctly .

The peak of texas 8-4 will be Sark wiping the Mayonnaise from his face after a lackluster bowl win against SMU

So you are okay with losing to Arky as long as UTrans beats A&M?

Its a tall order to beat two top 5 teams on the road. Texas looked pretty good to me last night. You definitely have a talented team but they seem to make costly mistakes. You can absolutely beat us and at least have 2 wins over your rivals.

Honestly, if we were to go 1-10 with the one being the Gators I wouldn't write the season off.

It’s a young team littered with inconsistency and indiscipline. I thought Sark had a coward game plan last night though. You come out running the ball for six yards a carry and then Georgia scores one TD and you abandon it. Not to mention, you basically escorted Georgia to the end zone with 15 yard DB cushions. As soon as you manned up, Georgia suddenly stalls out. Like Kirby said in the post game, the margins are thin, you got to be aggressive. The only time Sark is aggressive is when he’s matched up against DCs with rigid defensive rules like Venables,Martindale, Elko, etc.

Correct.

One thing that really stands out is the lack of recognition that after our onside kick coverage against Vandy, how in the hell couldn’t they not think that Georgia would not try us out on that.

Some coaches just own others. It's like Kirby can read Sark's mind. The losses to e.g. Ohio State, OK, they're more talented and better coached. Makes sense. But with Georgia it's like Kirby gets off on embarrassing poor Sark.

No man. You’re gonna beat us for sure. We had to score 27 unanswered points in a quarter to barely beat SC. You’ll beat us for sure. It’s in Austin. And you’ve got manning. That’s worth a ton.

Horns win easily.

It was horrible because Kirby wanted the fake punt on the previous drive that Texas sniffed out. They should have immediately been on high alert for an onside.

They looked good to you?

They scored 1 touchdown only because they were given a short field
They moved the ball 17 yards that’s it, that was their only td, 17 yds!

Florida has lit up a lot of teams this season, including A&M. Hell, Billy was one of the few guys who actually ran the ball effectively on Texas’s defense last year. Football is a lot like boxing, styles make fights. It’s not transitive because individual matchups decide games. Those heavy pro style offenses have leaned on us in big games, especially ones like that where we made a lot of mistakes.

Destroyed by Florida and Detroyed by Georgia? One was not like the other. Just losing straight up to Florida was bad enough. I’ll agree there

Arch is getting better and the O line protected better than I thought.

A&M will have to play to its potential.
