Have we ever seen 2 qbs make the improvements we've seen the last few years?

Correct, we won't see wire-to-wire dominance like that ever again.

This. That team was insanely good that season.

So 2018 Burrow
The you had the same players argument is so stupid. This is college football. Exponential improvements happen year over year.

The goat can not come from a year in which the quality of competition is significantly down. The SEC was down and only had 4 ranked teams. The entirety of CFB was down as Liberty, Coastal Carolina, ULL, Buffalo, and San Jose State were top 25 teams. Bama never faced a true road environment. The seven win team you played in the natty had 20+ players out due to COVID. Come on mannn!!!

You don't have to die on this hill homey.

Sec had a 7-2 bowl record. Doesnt sound like it was down.

You bring up some good points by emphasizing that Bama didn’t have the luxury of having any home field advantage this year. Not in a single game. Every game was like a bowl game with all those SEC games. Wow, I hadn’t even thought about that. Another reason 2020 Bama’s accomplishments truly were unprecedented and will never be matched. It’s probably Bama 2020 and Nebraska 95 at 1a and 1b if we’re being honest.

I can't believe you guys are actually pimping a bowl season in which every team was bowl eligible. How many of those teams aren't even invited in a normal CFB season?
Literal 3-win teams in bowls playing teams with a shitload of players sitting out of meaningless exhibition games, and that's your go-to to show the SEC wasn't down?

Dude just because your team and your coach and some of you lsu fans didnt give a shite about this season doesn't mean other teams from across the country felt the same way.
Why dont you quit this thread and join Chase as the quiters you are? L.o.l.

The bowls couldn’t help it that there were teams that sucked so bad that they didn’t want to play anymore.
As to the SEC teams in bowls with losing records...they all beat teams from other P5 conferences that had better records and were actually ranked in the top 25. That’s a testament to the strength of the SEC this season. No FCS OOC patsies to pad wins and stats. Truly a very real and epic season for the ages.
1a. 2020 Bama
1b. 1995 Nebraska
GOAT.

You do realize in an actual normal college football season, 3-win Mississippi State wouldnt be invited to a bowl, correct?
Talk shite about LSU all you want. I just thought it was funny you used 3-win teams winning bowl games as evidence of the SEC not being down

When the recency bias wears off, and CFB fans remember the pandemic season for what it was, 2020 Alabama being brought up with those GOAT teams will be a huge laughing matter. Alabama fans know it deep down. It's why they were desperate with the comparisons during their game.

The evidence is clear. The SEC, sans a few teams, was the supreme conference in the country.

Well one played a real season and the other an exhibition season so I’ll let you be the judge.

Keep crying pussies. LSU will be looking up at bama for the rest of your lives. We own you, we own your stadium, and we own your recruits.

You can’t be a goat if you can’t even make a bowl game the year after.
