What did the hawgs get when they traded The Babe (Ruth, not the pig) away?
Only explanation I can find. Arkansas fans deserve much better. This just ain't right, and I am an LSU fan.

You aren’t cursed, you’re coached by DVH.

Your players adapt to who is leading then. DVH is nervous af in big moments.

His teams shite the bed when it matters.

There's unfortunately a lot of truth to this. And it isn't just a DVH problem, it exists across the entire state of Arkansas and really is summed up by the athletics programs at the flagship university of the state.

We, as a people, tend to reward and respect those in positions of leadership that are "nice" or "polite' or "classy" individuals. Those with old school southern values like etiquette and manners. Those people make for great role models of young men, but they don't instill that killer instinct needed to excel at sports at the next level.

When is the last time you can remember a "nice guy" head coach winning a championship at any of the big 3 sports? It just doesn't work and their teams take on that same mentality when faced with adversity.

Even the Pittman tenure would be seen in an entirely different light if he had won even 50% of the 15 one-score games we've lost under his watch. Losing a few close games over 5 years is just bad luck and how sports goes sometimes, losing over a dozen one score games is a pattern.

If you look back at the most successful coaches at Arkansas, they weren't the "nice classy guy" mold. Nolan Richardson, Bobby Petrino, Frank Broyles, all kinds of assholes that didn't take shite from anyone and rubbed people the wrong way.

This post is probably better off on the Arkansas team board, but I'm HOT right now. It's not a "curse" outside of the fact that we are valuing all the wrong things to win championships. This was the most complete Arkansas team in a very long time and they folded under pressure when they had it in the bag, just like they have in multiple other occasions.

At some point you have to look at yourselves and stop blaming outside forces

This team should be in the finals but that opportunity was wasted again.

Your best coach ever was John McDonnell in xc and track. Never again will any coach win as many championships.

It wasn't only that his guys were great. They routinely over performed in NCAA's. The antithesis of chokers.

Are you under the impression that Arkansas was off to the final if they won tonight?

Feel bad for the hogs. Poor kids just got nervous at the absolute worst time. Had that game in the bag. Then they shite all over themselves and the bag. Maybe next time. Oink oink!

Arky had LSU dead to rights, and I just can’t even right now. Almost wrote the evening off.

But then .. the Omahawgs were Eauxmahawgs. Incredible game. Better luck next year.

I mean you scored 2 runs on a double play ball in the 8th to take the lead because the LSU first baseman didn't catch the ball.

That's kind of lucky.

But, you are definitely cursed.

No that was too many freaky unlikely unlucky things all happening in two innings. That reaks of a curse.

Maybe one of those assholes you speak of killed or raped a Native American or dug up an Indian graveyard or something.
