Do they though? Lots of people here joke about asterisks but the Michigan win is the only one with a true asterisk. They’re the only one who actually cheated in the competition of the game (everyone else was just paying Cam Newton, Reggie Bush, etc. and most teams were doing that…no one else was sending scouts to games to steal signs).

Exactly the right attitude to have. You dont see NFL fans say...well my team lost but I hope someone in our division or conference still wins it all. I hate every team in my NFL Division which is the AFC North and would never root them on to win shite.

See, it makes no sense....why would Alabama or Georgia fans root for each other?....just because they belong to the same conference?... 
Why would you want one of your fiercest rivals to win another Natty and hold that over your head? You think Texas fans rooted for Oklahoma and vice versa in the Big 12 just because they were in the same conference? Lets see how many Texas fans were rooting for Oklahoma to win a Natty with Josh Heupul when Texas was out of the picture just because they were in the Big 12.

Im just beating a dead horse now but it really is amazing to me how SEC fans want to support teams that they hate just because they want their conference to be supreme.....give me a fricking break. Its a dog eat dog world and that includes sports. Do you think the Dallas Cowboys were supporting the Eagles in the Super Bowl last year because they are in the same conference?.... . What about the Yankees and Red Sox....you think they root for each other in the World Series because they are in the same Conference?... But here we have SEC fans hating each other but want to have sleepovers and hugs just so long as one of them win the Natty....
