1. Clemson
2. LSU
3. Alabama
4. OU
5. Tennessee

This is what Mel and Dari gave on their show yesterday.

Thoughts?

I'd switch LSU and Bama until we win again

Michigan will be much better than 3 of those 5.

There is absolutely no reason to put LSU in the top 5 next year.

Agree. Top 5 without Michigan is shite.

OM will has a better QB and will have as good of a defense as 3 of those.

Have a hard time believing Stanford shouldn't be ahead of some of those teams. Baylor should be really good as well.

Harris having a full year under his belt, the stable of running backs and receivers, and most of the defense is no reason.

Neither LSU, OU, nor Tennessee have done ANYTHING this year to prove they belong in the top 5.

LSU should not be in the discussion. As long as Les is here, we will lose 2-3 games, including to Bama, and hope for the Chicken Bowl. Set your expectations low.

Tennessee had 4th quarter leads against every team they played and most likely would have beat bama had they played in knoxville. The fact that most of their team is coming back is scary. They prolly go 11-1 next year and win the East

Majority of contributors on offense are coming back with another year experience including one of the best running backs in the country. The same with the defense with a better d coordinator especially if Beckwith comes back. Top three recruiting class with immediate contributors on it.

Not saying I would put them there yet and can certainly see why people wouldn't, but there are reasons to why people will put them there especially since Mel Kiper usually does his top teams by NFL players.

LSU does not belong in the top 5. After a win over TT? with a new DC that we frankly had no trouble with when our offense absolutely sucked is gonna shut people down? Where is this top 5 coming from?

1. Bama
2. Michigan
3. Clemson
4. Ohio State
5. Oklahoma or Tenn

LSU may very well end up in the top 5 but to put them at number 2 is blind homerism at its finest. geez

If Beckwith returns then MAYBE you can say LSU should be top 10 going into next year, but that's a big if. Should be more like 15-20

That isn't my top 5 baw. Thats what Dari and Mel came up with.
I'd personally have them around 7-8

Oh, don't get me wrong. Tennessee will have no excuse for shitty performance in 2016. A three-loss team generally does not get a pre-season top 5. I would give Tenn a top 15 pre-season ranking.

Why the hell would LSU be #2?

Might as well put Ole Miss at 1 since they will never live up to it.
With all that talent, still could not make sec title game.
Bama will be #1 again, have you seen the way their schedule plays out.
