Why would mizzou be ranked?

Emphasis on the “way too early” part my friend. National voters also don’t pay attention to middle class programs in preseason.
All they knew from Mizzou was that we lost our WR 1 & 2 and lost QB 1.
Sure our backup QB last year beat OU, but looked like he never played a snap in his life on a national stage vs Bama.
That same QB is the backup this year and MAYBE the starter if our new QB (who was Penn St backup) goes down this year.
Take off the fan glasses, we are a ceiling 8 win team if our QBs are C rated. Would you truly bet $ that Penn States back up QB is above average?
The SEC is a QB league and we likely have the 10-14th rated QB.
I do believe our depth is in the 5-8 range, but QB is going to be the ceiling.
