This now includes 20 different "Way-to-Early" Preseason Polls: Sporting News, Yahoo Sports, Bleacher Report, SB Nation, The Big Lead, Orlando Sentinel, Chat Sports, CBS Sports, ESPN.com, Dallas Morning News, The Athletic, Mercury News, CFB Talk, 247Sports, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Washington Post, SEC Country, Land of 10, & Athlon:

There are some very big gaps consistent with most every poll... a clear Top 4... a clear Next 3... a clear next 4... etc.

1. Alabama- 498
2. Clemson- 466
3. Ohio St.- 452
4. Georgia- 450
----------------
5. Wisconsin- 394
6. Miami- 389
7. Oklahoma- 373
----------------
8. Michigan St.- 322
9. Penn St.- 320
10. Auburn- 317
11. Washington- 312
----------------
12. Stanford- 236
13. Michigan- 230
14. Virginia Tech- 195
15. USC- 194
16. Notre Dame- 191
17. LSU- 161
18. UCF- 143
19. Florida St.- 140
20. West Virginia- 129
21. TCU- 100
22. Mississippi St.- 99
23. Boise St.- 90
24. Texas- 66
25. Oregon- 63
26. Oklahoma St.- 59
27. S. Carolina- 31
28. Kansas St.- 17
29. Northwestern- 13
30. Memphis- 12
31. Florida Atlantic- 9
32. NC State- 7
33t. Texas A&M- 6
33t. Florida- 6
35. Purdue- 5
36t. Arizona- 4
36t. Iowa St.- 4
38. Utah- 1

**Interesting to see both UCF and Florida Atlantic ranked ahead of Florida.

**Based on this, it will be very interesting to see where College Gameday decides to go Week 1: #13 Michigan vs. #16 Notre Dame... #6 Miami vs. #17 LSU... or #10 Auburn vs. #11 Washington??

**For those wondering about Mizzou, they obviously were not ranked in any of the polls above. They did get a mention and a ranking of #29 in the WAPO poll.

**Will be interesting to see after Spring Ball how the media picks the order of the SEC Divisions. In the 20 polls above, Alabama obviously ranks 1st in the West in all 20.... Auburn ranks #2 in the West in 18 of the 20; 3rd in the West in the other 2... LSU ranks 2nd in the West in one poll; 3rd in the West in 12 polls; 4th in the West in 6 polls; and are unranked in one.... Mississippi St. ranks 2nd in the West in 1 poll; 3rd in the West in 6 polls; 4th in the West in 6 polls; and are unranked in 7 polls.... Texas A&M ranks 3rd in the West in 3 polls; 4th in 1 poll and are unranked in remaining 16 polls.

It appears the West preseason projections should go: 1. Alabama, 2. Auburn, 3. LSU, 4. Mississippi St., 5. Texas A&M.... but LSU/Mississippi St. are close enough they could flip-flop between now and Memorial Day.

It looks like they all just took the final top 25 and moved a couple of teams around here and there.

Doesn't look terrible...preseason polls are more meaningless than ever with the 4 team playoff though.

I wonder if they're banking on lock leaving. The ones I've seen with Lock staying have us right around 25th

State should be ahead based on what both teams have returning. LSU loses their QB, top 2 RB and top 2 WR State returns essentially everybody on both sides of the ball. State also beat LSU head up last year 37-7

If Alabama manages their first two games like they should (Louisville and Arkansas State), they will pass Ohio State for the most weeks ranked #1 in the AP poll all-time.

Currently:

Ohio State 105
Alabama 103
Oklahoma 101
Notre Dame 98
Southern Cal 91

I don't think the cupboard is as bare at A&M as some believe. It was a very young team this year. I'm hoping they are a surprise team next year.
