Cam Lawrence - SEC's 2nd leading tackler in 2011.
Jonathan Banks - SEC's highest rated cornerback for 2012.
Just throwing those out there since we never make the discussion, no matter how qualified.

Obvious answer:
SEC Offensive POY: Bama Player
SEC Defensive POY: Bama Player
Stunner:
TM7 fails to meet expectations.
I have spoken.

Top 5 candidates for both, imo
Offense : Tyler Wilson, Marcus Lattimore, Eddie Lacy, Cobi Hamilton, AJ McCarron
Defense : Tyrann Mathieu, Sam Montgomery, CJ Mosley, KiKi Mingo, Corey Lemoneir (sp?)

O: Eddie Lacy
D: Clowney
i thought long and hard about other candidates on offense but i just think lacy is the easy pick because of the OL and we know he will get a lot of carries and make highlight plays with the spin move.

Offensive
1 Bray-his team will suck but he'll put up big numbers
2 Lattimore-#1 if he stays healthy. Media loves him
3 Murray-team success + good numbers=possible
4 Wilson-will put up big numbers but I have a feeling in ints too.
5 McCarron-Team success and good numbers.
Lacy-left off because I think others will steal some of his thunder and like Lattimore I doubt he stays healthy.
Defensive
1 Jones-easily could have won last year and his numbers are easier to duplicate
2 Clowney-gonna blow up
3 Mathieu-reputation and is it ever smart to doubt him? Numbers are hard to duplicate and will not have the national showcase early that he did last year
4 Mosely-Bama has to have someone on the list
5 Montgomery-is better than Mingo

Forgot about Missouri being in the conference. Watch their QB and RB. Both are fantastic

1. i just dont trust Bray. he isnt on the same page as the coaching staff and he is injury prone.
2. lattimore is coming off an injury and i dont think he will be 100%
3. Murray is a possibility. i dont think his skill is the best in the conference but he does put up good numbers and is an effective QB
4. New HC, new OC, new recievers for Wilson. i think he has all the skill needed, but everything else seems to be stacked against him.
5. McCarron is a possibility but i dont think Saban will really give him much leash. its not like bama to really open up the passing offense and put up MVP stats from the QB position. it could happen, but it wont consistently happen week in and week out like it would in a petrino offense.

1. agree. but UGA always finds a way to frick up
2. agree. clowney is gonna wreck shite
3. i think it will be hard for honeybadger (or anyone really) to have a better year than he did last year
4. maybe. last year bama's d had so many 3 and outs that nobody really piled up a lot of eyepopping stats
5. agree. id take montgomery over mingo airday
