What a tool. Take off the garnet glasses bro and learn to read.

Ok. Let's see I counted 8 posters who seemed to make a genuine list that had UGA in 1st.

5 of them were UGA fans.

I counted 14 posters that have SC as 1st.

Of those only 2 were SC fans.

Care to re-read the thread, or do you just want to sit there and gawk like a tool?

That's close. I'd switch SCAR and UGA naturally, and Vandy and UT, but other that it's probably real close.

There are 6 UGA firsts on the first 3 pages not from UGA fans.

Right there it is clearly not "nearly everyone" for USCe

That doesn't include the votes for MiZz or Fla

Take out the LSU voters, who hate UF and UGA, and you aren't even leading.....

I'm confident in the teams that will make up 1-4 and the ones that are 5-7, but not in which order they'll be in. I could see any of the top four teams winning the East.

I agree with this, but I would switch Vandy and UT. They may be better than us next year, but their schedule is tougher.

Picking a winner is pretty easy:

There's about a 0% chance Mizzou repeats. I'm not crazy about Mauk personally, especially with no Washington or DGB.

You can't pick Carolina to win the East because they've won it once in over two decades and they ended with 5 losses that year.

UT has no chance with the inexperience at QB and the lack of talent in the trenches. Even the UT fans know this.

UF I wouldn't feel comfortable picking to win the East a year removed from losing to Georgia Southern and with the recent discussion of the internal disciplinary problems.

Vandy has never won the East and has a new coach.

UK has never won the East.

Why not pick the team with the best individual player in the conference, the best backfield in the conference, the team that returns 20 of 22 on the defensive two deep, and has won the division 2 of the last 3 years?

UGA
USCe
UF
Mizzou
UT
UK
Vandy

The winner of the USC/UGA game will play for the title. I'd take USC. Their road games are at Vandy, at UK, at Florida (open date the week before)& at Auburn (Furman the week before and an open date before Furman). So, Bama will play USC for the title.

You can't bring rational arguments here, they won't understand. They will always think "our replacements are gonna be even better......,etc"

Simply flame, call them butt hurt or mad, then laugh and repeat.

1. USC
2. UF (finally a decent offense emerges)
3. Missouri (Maty pulls a couple out his azz)
4. UGA (The Avenger minus The Ginger)
5. UT (The Vols play in a bowl)
6. Vanderbilt (losses from last season too much)
7. UK (an improved season over 2013, but still work to do)

They surprised a shitload of people last year. Yeah, I think they've had a dropoff over the offseason, but to outright discount them is patently foolish.

They've won 33 games the last three years, and were a miracle catch last year from playing in Atlanta. They've been the most consistent team over this stretch; that's not bias, that's fact. To discount them is stupid.

Likely agree with this. Though there is a major talent infusion, it's very young. Still a couple years off.

Another wildcard. They surprised everyone in '12, and there's plenty of talent there. I think they played over their heads in '12, but I think they win 2/3 of the UGA/UTK/USC games.

quote:

Vandy has never won the East and has a new coach.

UK has never won the East.

Agreed.

Because Richt's teams are mentally soft, have a new DC, a new QB, and have to go on the road to the two best East teams from last year in Mizzou and USC. Add in the neutral game with UF, and they win *maybe* one of those three. Gurley's good, sure, but you don't have a QB that has to be game-planned against anymore.

Basically, this is a total crapshoot. I have no idea who goes to Atlanta. But to openly mock any of Mizzou/UF/USC as East winners is painfully stupid.

Since it's way too early, I think it comes down to the SCar/Mizzou game....unless UF gets a pulse, then who knows.
