I was just responding to the topic at the top. I know Johnson wasn’t a transfer, and I actually thought he was going to be really good because of how impressed I was by his deep ball.
There was also the same hype with Jacob Eason coming into Georgia. I’m way more of a “prove it to me first before you get the hype” person now.

Cam prior to the season: Thug transfer QB that will never make it in the SEC.
Cam midway in the season: He can run but isn't a good passer, he'll choke and won't be a QB in the NFL.
Cam towards the end of the season: AU had to buy a championship QB.

His hype more closely resembles JJ or Tua. Not done much in meaningful time one the field and just assumed to be great off a few plays.

Stidham and Cam weren't 3rd stringers going into their 4th year of college football

This is more similar to Blake Barnett to Arizona State, or any other backup that never played, than it is to Stidham. Stidham actually played. It's sad that you actually believe differently.

To get back on subject, Burrow obviously could be very good, especially with the talented core of WRs LSU looks to have, but it’s anything but a given. Especially with a shakier RB core than normal and the lack of time he’ll spend in Baton Rouge before starting.
Maybe LSU will change the offense, but it’s not like he’ll be in a similar system.
