No Colt was, he broke the record for accuracy that year which is why that followed by Vince snub the heisman has proven it’s worthless, might as well be legacy media

No Toby G was not robbed. IMO, the NFL doesn’t prove it because G was a great college back but IMO, Ingram who was a better pro though not a great one, had a better college season because stats aren’t everything, just like NFL isn’t. The reality is we likely rarely see the truly “best” or “most outstanding player” win it. The Heisman is a media narrative/popularity/who’s on a top team/who has a good story/who is having a good maybe great season/who plays well in a big game/who plays a position that produces stats easily understood by the public and voters/etc. award. Just accept it for what it is.
Was Mark the most deserving? Who knows? Was he as deserving as anyone we can quantify? Probably. Was he the best player in the country? Probably not - just like most winners. It’s evident by the biased regional voting that it has little to do with merit.
Having said all of that, I’m fine with most winners, including Ingram in 2009.
