or did they just dominate baylor TCU Rice aTm and Arkansas for 80 years...
Since joining Oklahoma in the Big 12, they are clearly 2nd tier.
What tier would Texas be in the SEC?
Big 12 Conference Championships
Oklahoma - 12
Texas - 3
Baylor - 2
Kansas State - 2
Nebraska - 2

Well they won 4 NCs so not shabby but they're not as awesome as they think they are, no. But that's just Texans for you.

Texas did most of their damage pre-integration. Pretty sure the record against A&M since the early 70's is .500

Texas is a program that benefitted from no scholly limits. They made their name by stocking the cupboards to the brim and out talenting teams.
They have been living off that mystique.
Vince Young’s team was legitimately a very good squad in 2005.

Mack Brown had a good run before 2010, despite not winning the big 12 often. Also he was 10-4 against A&M but only 6-9 against Oklahoma

Have you ever been to Austin? I know they have plenty of money and all as a university but i really dont think they care about football all that much anymore. It was fun for them because espn built them up all off season, then when they lost the fun part was over. They have other "agenda's" they would rather push with all that money.

Also Arkansas was really good before 1990. They won an NC and were usually the 2nd best team in the SWC.

In terms of overall wins, the Longhorns were the Team of the 00s. This despite only managing to win the Big 12 twice in that particular decade.

Well they are 50/50 with Aggie the last 50 years or so.
But over roughly a 120 years of playing football they average 4.5 losses per year with the weakest schedules in cfb history
That’s their reality, yes Aggie has done worse, but Aggie doesn’t pretend to be a top 5 in history team blue blood, that’s why everyone laughs at them

More like 2:1

They are a blue blood, if not top 5

They were when Vince Young beat a stacked USC team.

Texas was very good in the 00's but I wouldn't call them the team of it. OU was more a team of the decade than Texas. You could argue LSu, Florida, USC, OSU as well. OU and OSU were the most consistent.

24-19. Not 50:50. But not 2/1 either.

And 50 years would be 1969 to present. 24-19...

Well they had VY for the last NC. One of those rare QBs that win a championship... Cam Newton is a prime example. Prior to that it was 69 & 70 back to back.
Said it before but over the last 50+ years A&M and texass are about 50/50. If A&M had stayed in the B12 while texass absolutely sucked dogshit the last 2 years under Brown and during Charlie Strong's tenure.
Ags would have beat the horns off Bevo just about every year except for last year. A&M would be ahead in the series over the last 50 or so years. Everything is cyclical in football and the A&M texass series is no different.
Yes, texass won a lot during WWI and WWII. Who gives a frick?

Do you realize in the link you just posted that Texas only makes the top five in two out of 10 of the listings? They are not top-five no one thinks so unless they live in Austin or are a moron

VY saved Mack Browns job. He won games in spite of Mack Browns coaching because he was the best athlete on the field and just improvised outside of their game plan.
