Lat only averaged 4.9 yds per rush, and as a team the Gamecocks averaged less than 4 ypc.

Also, by my count they ran 69 total plays, to UGAs 47.

We could give HawgAlude the ball 37 times, and he may crack the century mark on the Jacksonville State Dline.

It wasn't like he had a few really long runs that skewed the average yards per carry. The dude runs it 5 yards a carry and it takes at least 3 people to take him down

That is great and all, but how long will he last in the SEC this year? 6 weeks?

I sure think so. Lattimore beasted the UGA dline all day long. Garcia didn't look "great", but he still looked solid. Alshon Jeffrey looked like Greg Childs on steroids, literally and figuratively.

I'm sold on USC. For now, at least.

EDIT: I should add that my opinion could be biased, as someone who claims to be a GC fan.

Is this not the same story of a South Carolina team?

I say show me you do not lose Lat in week 7, then lose 4/5 or 5 in a row like SCar does every season.

Exactly Hawgeye. SC will probably win 5 in a row, be in the top 10 nationally, then finish 7-5.

I don't know. He surely can't run the ball 40 times a game in the SEC. He is a great power back though.

UGA looked terrible to me. Awful offensive gameplan. Green coming back will help though. There is now pretty much no doubt though that USC or Florida will win the East.

USC has a brutal SEC schedule though. They draw Alabama, Auburn and Arkansas out of the West.

If your argument is that the team might suck if he got injured, that should tell you he IS that impressive.

What do you know? Ole Hawgeye trying to discredit an SC team again. I think you tried the same shite with our baseball team too, where are the 2 woopigs this time?

What people don't realize is how balanced we have been. People see 37 carries and think hes the only guy on our team. That was just a case of it it aint broke don't fix it. Against USM we had 225 passing yards and 224 passing yards, yeah Lattimore had 182 against UGA but Garcia also had 165 passing yards and still hasn't thrown an INT (doesnt having a passing TD but does have 1 rushing) He is also 28-40 and Alshon Jeffery has had 2 100 receiving games.

The jury is still out on South Carolina, but Lattimore is the real deal. No question

5 in a row?

So that would give us wins over USM, Georgia, Furman, Auburn and Alabama. Pretty good start IYAM.
