I like to think I’m relatively consistent.

I dont Think Pro Athletes owe anyone anything that’s not in their contract.

And so yeah I’ll get on players who don’t do press conferences because generally they are required to by the NFL and the Team.

But dancing on command probably isn’t in there.

My only thing is that people react that way to him because that is the persona he puts on in his public profession - endzone celebrations, loud personality, etc. Nobody was yelling at Marshawn Lynch saying Dance!

Bigger personality gets you more airtime and exposure, resulting in a big name and the financial benefits that go with it, but also puts you more into the public eye where everyone knows you and is expecting to see that same personality.

what works both ways?

If you had been a walkon football player in college and busted your butt like those players do, would you feel sorry for scholarship players who complain about shite?

What about when they become millionaires? You would still feel sorry for them?

Don't play semantics. Answer the question.

He was saying that if it was a South Carolina player I'd be defending him.

Can't say I wouldn't, I guess.

That if it was a USC player he would defend him. People on here tend to change their perspective depending on what team the person plays for.

Yes, I can feel sympathy for rich people in certain situations because I'm not naive enough to think they couldn't possibly have any problem in their lives.

Like responding with an emoticon like you did?

I'm not playing semantics. Your stance is basically that because he's rich he couldn't possibly have anything to complain about. That is very simple-minded and naive, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't think any entertainer or athlete owes the public anything in their private lives.
However, when you are a shameless self-promoter like Odell with the constant "Look at me! Look at me!" sideline antics, to turn around and complain when people actually pay attention to you is fairly ignorant.

I don't remember him being like this at LSU. He's really let fame get to his head. He's certainly not a team builder, but he is an amazing player. I doubt he's putting in the extra hours in the gym and film room now that he's gotten paid. Based on all the selfish penalties and off the field crap, I won't be surprised to see him take plays off. He didn't used to be like that when he first came in the league.

If he wanted to mention being asked to dance by a fan, he should have laughed and said, "no, you dance." That would put the dumbass who asked him to dance in his place, in a nice way.

Going beyond that and pretending it's some dire problem OB must deal with in his life is just drama horse shite.

Athletes today fancy themselves esteemed intellectuals or philosophers. Making millions to play a game for our entertainment

Make no mistake, these industries, professional athletics, would not exist if they didn’t entertain the end user.

“Hey, John the welder, go in that 115 degree tank and grind out that weld that didn’t pass X-ray for $16/hr”. Odell is welcome ask John how he feels about people making “demands” related to who he presents himself as.

Poor fricking Odell Beckham. Making millions and whining about people asking him to entertain them, by doing something he’s repeatedly admitted to loving doing, and craved the attention it brought him early in his career. Look at Odell, so eccentric and carefree. Dancing with his friends. Styling his hair against the norm. Appearing in shampoo ads. This dude spent several years making sure that he created this image or persona and is now upset that people are asking for it? Wtf sort of logic is that

These guys are mostly fricking dumb. Lebron James is a jock with a high school education. They think their popularity gives them intelligence. They’re just morons with a platform now.

He wasn't and didn't get that way until his catch against Dallas

Based on all reports from camp, he's actually gone over and beyond this offseason.

He's basically bitching about being an entertainer

So instead you want him to lie to you?

Every entertainer is sick of constantly being nagged by media and fans

So, to make you feel better, when directly asked about it he should just lie to you, and you will know he is lying, but in turn you will then be ok and not butthurt

People on the internet are so perpetually angry it is fantastic

How about you give us your views on the many "ummm" dropped by A&M's most famous football player of the past few decades?

Or maybe we can chalk it up to the decline of public speaking over the past several years.

Yoy are the one running on emotions here

OBJ isnt running to the media to complain. He was asked directly by someone in a conversational setting, and he gave an honest answer that 99.99% of celebrities feel like

You and others are basically mad he didnt simply lie
