Was losing Mike Bobo a big loss for Georgia?

Seems no one has talked about the fact that UGA just lost their OC for the past 7 years. Not to mention, Bobo has coached their Qbs since 2001. Big deal or no?

Big loss. Muschamp made his arse quit imo.

More like Muschamp got fired, y'all hired the CSU head coach, and Bobo got a head coaching job at CSU.
Eta: sorry for the overreaction, it's been a long day

We'll see, I think he was too conservative with his play calling. I'd like to see more balls thrown down field off play action on first down this year.

Continue to be an idiot though.
Dawgs like to bite real quick, eh?

Yes. It was a big loss. I don't see us being nearly as successful this year as we were the last 5 or so. It hurts.

Not sure it was a big loss.
Definitely think he is a better OC than the new guy though.

A lot of Dawg fans are quietly waiting to find out.
As for me, I'm not sure but seeing as we're breaking in a brand new QB for next season it makes me a bit nervous, yes.

Who is replacing Bobo anyways?

7 years is a full term for any OC at a top tier program.
As others already said he moved up, not sideways and who knows he may come back home one day.
CMR and company have been masterful in filling spots on the coaching roster of late no arguments here.

I think it will be a big loss but I trying to be optimistic about it. Bobo grew into a great OC the last few years.

Did y'all know that monteg made his own forum?

Sure enough did. I haven't ventured over there yet. If you do I'd use a throw away email account.

quote:Same here, waiting to see. This year won't be much different than last year on "O", any OC could score 35 a game with this "O" even with just a serviceable QB(see '14). If we take care of the ball, throw short safe passes & feed the RB's & TE's a steady diet of carries & passes we'll score close to 40 ppg again this year. When Eason arrives in '16 will be where we see if Schotty can produce Bobo type numbers on "O"...

More looking forward to seeing the progress of the "D" this year under Pruitt in his 2nd year...

He got some shite from UGA fans, but I loved what he did with Murray there.
As for Schotty, I thought he was pretty crappy at times with the Jets, but maybe it'll work out in CFB.
Hoping UF can get back to having an explosive O
