There is literally nothing that supports Texas jumping. Beating Bama wasn’t worth a jump earlier, and wins over Texas Tech and Ok. st. sure as heck don’t warrant it.

UTx has their QB1 back healthy. His absence was the only reason for their dip in performance.

UTx dominated over rivalry week and against Okie State for a conference title.

Bama winning a conference title was another boost for UTx's resume.

FSU played poorly over the last two weeks and confirmed for voters what they had thought. FSU isn't the same team without Travis.

And the cream is gonna be 2-3 SEC teams most years.

And they talk about SEC fatigue now. It will be unbearable!! And probably the end of college football as we know it.

this was more about the ACC than Bama or Texas. If LSU just beat GA with one loss, they would be in over FSU

It seems the committee certainly viewed wins in some distinct tiers and placed a premium on the highest profile Top10 wins.

Alabama over Georgia, Texas over Alabama, Washington over Oregon twice, Michigan over Ohio St

Whereas FSU just had the LSU win and didn't get much more credit for beating Louisville than Alabama did for beating Kentucky.

In a way, they did exactly what people complained they would not do:
not penalize teams for playing more Top 10 type opponents by considering 2-1 Vs the Top 10 as better than 1-0 vs the Top 10.

s pretty hilarious that Alabama AND Texas jumped FSU and somehow only Alabama is the one being yapped about.

If Alabama loses to Georgia and the final spot is down to Texas/FSU......Texas would have gotten that spot.

dumb dumb the playoff committee said Texas was in.... it was not TEXAS BAMA FSU it was FSU BAMA. OH and Texas beat you sorry fux......

Well, the CFP poll is what matters. And it's the whole of the schedule. Not just the top teams you played.

Their analytics source SportSource had Udub at #7 SoS and FSU at #55.

Penix is still playing. Travis is not.

If Wash QB went down they wouldnt have beaten Oregon in their CCCG. FSU was lucky to play a bad UL team, one that lost to KY
All will be settled when UGA drags them all over the field

FSU had its second consecutive struggle win

And how would you describe the Auburn ‘win’ ?

That was something way beyond a struggle win

Well Bama’s on-the-field results beating the reigning b2b national champions to end their 29 game winning streak while chalking up their 30th SEC Championship looked good to my eyes.

Everyone knew that Florida State without their quarterback was not one of the four best teams and would have been beaten badly had they been selected. Maybe not as bad as TCU, but they would not have been competitive. They would be another Iowa.

This is Bama logic at its finest. No mention of Alabama winning on a miracle play against a shitty Auburn team. Louisville might be better than Auburn and they didn’t get beat by 3 TDs against the Aggies of New Mexico State.

Which we followed up by beating the #1 team in the country.

Nah, they just lost to Kentucky. At home. Who we beat like a rented mule on the road just 4 weeks ago.

The same way Ohio State jumped TCU and Baylor in 2014. They beat the shite out of the team they played in their CCG.

And if Georgia beats Bama then that must mean FSU was already left out, correct?
1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Washington
4. Texas
