Meh. If the administration can't/isn't willing to do what it takes to prevent him from making a lateral move then they aren't willing to make the commitment to basketball that would be necessary to create a strong program even if Grant stays for the next 10 years.

You forgot something:

Team A: on the verge of major NCAA probation

Team B: in the clear and on the upswing

Also, team B beat team A at team A's home court this year (I know that doesn't add anything to the discussion, but I just wanted to rub it in).

No, not if Pearl is gone. But I think I've gotten all I want from this thread.

I'll be sure to bump it when Grant takes the job.

You sound like an AU trying to manipulate numbers to suit your argument. At best it would be a lateral move when taking history into account. What was the better program when Buzz Peterson's arse was there and we were going to the EE?

Bama.

Your turn: So is the better program when we're going to the tourney every year and none of your current players have ever been?

I'm not a football player, dumbass. So I didn't take the Wonderlic. What was your major in college, by chance? Or did you just get an associate's degree?

As of right this second, I'd say UT>UA, but we're certainly on the rise and it appears y'all will be looking for a coach. I'm talking about programs and history.

In all seriousness I would say the programs are almost dead even. Woopig posted the numbers, they're almost identical.

LOL....I left your name out on purpose because I knew you would be insecure enough to respond...

You and Obama have that narcistic thing going for you.

There is no such word as "narcistic." Let me guess, you heard some fancy new word on Glenn Beck and were so desperate to look intelligent using it that you forgot to look up the spelling in the process?

Good game, dumbdumb.

LWS is as reliable as volfan30 says he is. He basically said this scenario of Pearl being gone after the next loss would play out like this more than a week ago along with another poster on another site.

That does not mean that Grant will end up at TN, but he has obviously got some legit information from somewhere.

Both those posters mentioned that TN had gauged interest in 3 candidates already who already had good high major jobs. I believe the sentiment was that 2 would be hard sells to leave their current locations and one might happen.

I think Anderson is on the list, but I do not forsee him in Knoxville. Seen and heard the name Huggins thrown around by some reputable people and while I would love to see that to make Cal shite his pants, I can not for see him leaving WVU. Although its hard to think he would come, there was some suggestion that they would make Jay Wright tell them no just like the two above.

Other names that have been floated (again, not by just pipe dream posters) include Lon Kruger and Gregg Marshall.

I agree with you in theory, but question your source.
Yeah, fan of a school that has fewer all time wins than UA, and only about 20 more than UT.

His team hasn't won the SEC in 17 years and hasn't won the tournament in 11.

Barely better than Bama, and certainly worse than UT over the same time frame. This guy needs to stick to his coaching search.

No, we're a baseball school. 15-2 after tonight...

The road to Omaha goes through Knoxville.
