So he shouldn't get any shot at all? How do you know for sure he would fail?
I don't. Just my opinion.
Lots of good OC/DC's have failed at being an HC.

tell that to Kirby dipshit
I just told him and he said to tell you he was the process of Saban and one of the exceptions. He called you dipshit also.

Snyder's contract runs out this year, unless he has signed an extension. At 78, it's probably time to start thinking about retirement.
I think that is where he goes to as well.
Also I think if he were offered the K-State job and Tennessee, he'd go with K-State.
The money won't be that much different, but his chances of being successful long term are better at K-State.
Maybe that is projection, but it's what I'd do in his shoes. That Tennessee job comes with PITA out the yin-yang.
Plus if you do anything outdoors, the chiggers in that neck of the woods take no prisoners. I visited a relative in Murfreesboro once, and we went hiking. My "precious" was ... he was not happy. Had some nasty ones on the legs too.

What was Saban before becoming a HC?

This is kind of off topic but would SC fans rather have Boom or Kirby? I had a conversation with a gamecock friend of mine and he told me he thinks Muschamp is better than Kirby and glad y'all got him. I was a little confused and am wondering what the consensus is.
BTW champ has y'all rolling well right now, been a while since y'all were 5-2. He's doing a good job.

I could see Brent at Arkansas.
I tend to agree. I think he would be a good fit.

Kirby
That said.
Don't think he would have came out this year had Richt not been fired, or just would have jumped to UGA the next year after Richt got fired.

Venables wouldn't leave Clemson for UTk
He'd take the UT HC job in a heartbeat.

Venables son is a senior at Daniel and committed to Clemson. I think that will keep him at Clemson for a little while
And Snyder's son looks like he is going to be the next guy at KState, I've read a lot about it because a guy that does local radio around here has me convinced that he will bolt for KState. But Snyder is gonna hand the keys to his son and that same staff IMO

Y'all gonna give him a castle, too?

He's got enough money to build one from all of his bonuses for playoff appearances and ACC championships, idk what he's waiting on

The invitation to coach at UTk. Why would he personally pay to build a house he won't be staying in? Duhhhh.

Kirby didn't have the stink of failure on him like Boom did, so that alone made him a more attractive candidate. That said, Boom has built a better staff here than I think Kirby would have.
Muschamp may be very successful here, and a better fit for this program. At the time of the hire, it was clearly settling for leftovers, and we all would have rather had Smart.

Venables won't be a HC anywhere. 1. He doesn't want to be a HC, and 2. he won't uproot his family again.

This is a different Muschamp than before personality wise. He doesn't have that same horrible temper that he had before. He just seems much happier and more relaxed.
