He was not a yard out of bounds. His right foot had just lifted off green grass when Holcombe made contact. It was an unfortunate play, but there was nothing dirty about it.

Soooo what Reeves Maybin did to Chubb?

You can blame the green turf monster all you want for what happened to Chubb, but our defenders were making a football play. Only player knocked out on a cheap shot that game was Tuttle.

Ummm, absolutely not. Maybin never touched Chubb's knee.

Kamara was freakin' tight roping. It was on a return, with guys running down the field as fast as humanly possible. KH did the thing where you dive and give the ball carrier no option but to get hit or gtfo OOB. Guys do it ALL the time. Player is tight roping, you dive in front of them and bounce their arse OOB. Kamara had just planted a foot in play and was headed out. Got hit while he was out, but nothing ridiculous. KH was a bit late with his tackle. I'm sure when he started it Kamara was trying for a couple extra feet.

He didn't spear his fricking knee, get real. You act like it was a run play with KH tracking him down the line and then nosediving and actually spearing a knee on purpose.

Awful lot of words just to defend a dirty hit.

Laughable. It was borderline whether it was even late. Probably the right call on the late hit because the contact occurred right after Kamara stepped out. But Holcombe was into his tackle before Kamara stepped out. Nothing dirty about it.

Butch hopes so. He's running out of excuses for his shitty coaching.

Just went and looked at the Chubb play. Not really sure how it was dirty.

So if I'm doing math and shite, the earliest he could be back is Tennessee Tech, which would be roughly 3 weeks. Or Kentucky, 4 weeks.

It's not the end of the world. But holy shite, can we just survive 1 game without an injury. This is unreal.

[quote]They don't think it's an ACL. Likely just a deep bruise, but he has trouble putting weight on it. [/quotIf it was an ACL they probably would already have done surgery or about to. No reason to linger on that injury.

Late hit was the right call, but pussies like you calling it dirty clearly don't understand football. Returner is flying down the sideline, you go all out to make the tackle, he steps out right before you hit him. That's just football and happens all the time. If you think that's a dirty hit, then you should probably just choose another sport to enjoy.

Wasn't it some insane number? 19 season-ending injuries, if my memory serves me well.

Looks to me like he went for him high up on his thigh. Basically aiming at the near hip. It was late.
