Tell me you don't have any idea about academia without telling me.

Georgia Tech is in the South, dumbass.

Both are very productive in engineering and computer science research. Hence why they are both top 10 in almost every engineering and computer science field. And a lot of people look at rankings, that's why Tennessee isn't recruited by quant firms and Texas + Georgia Tech are.

Hey dipshit, I know Georgia Tech is a good school but it isn’t a thought to the northeastern and west coast liberal elite that runs the country. Ditto Texas.
It’s not an opinion.

I gave UGA credit for improving their team academic performance. I did it to avoid the shots at UGA for past deficiencies.

You are welcome.

Perhaps, but people with fully functioning brains understand that Vandy, Florida, Texas, and UGA are all academically superior to Tennessee.

Overall...Georgia is harder to get into than Tennessee, but not by a huge margin (2024 numbers):

Acceptance Rate - UGA 37%, UT 46%
Average SAT Scores Range - UGA 1220 - 1420, UT 1190 - 1340
Average ACT Scores Range - UGA 27-32, UT 25-31
Applications Received - UGA 43,090, UT 57,270
Students Accepted - UGA 15,900, UT 24,863

I know that reading may seem hard...but you can do it. I believe in you.

I tend to read authors I enjoy. Cormac McCarthy, Flannery O'Connor, Erskine Cauldwell, and Harry Crews come to mind. I'm not drawn to the ramblings of a misguided college football fan dressed in jailhouse orange.

Do you mean Cormac McCarthy who is from Knoxville and went to the University of Tennessee? Do you want us to believe that you read Cormac McCarthy novels, but are put off when the author starts rambling? Ok...

Cormac McCarthy enrolled at the University of Tennessee, then thought better and joined the Air Force.
When McCarthy rambled, if he ever did, it wasn't about the brief and fleeting success of Tennesse football. He didn't pretend every year was 1998.

Yes...Tennessee was even too hard for Cormac McCarthy.

BTW...he returned to UT after the Air Force, but dropped out again. He moved to Chicago, but moved back to the Knoxville Area in 1969 and lived there for about a decade before moving to Texas.

Seriously??? At times he rambled nearly as much as Faulkner. The city he rambles on and on about in Suttree is Knoxville. That's the Henley Street Bridge in the background in the picture on the inside jacket of Suttree. It's about a mile and a half from Neyland Stadium.

All $hit talk aside, Tennessee can claim Cormac McCarthy and Kurt Vonnegut as former students. That's pretty cool. Better than bragging about 1998.

My kids actually went to the same HS as McCarthy. I've never understood why he wasn't more celebrated. I love The Road, but Blood Meridian is a freaking Masterpiece.

Blood Meridian was, to me, his best by far.
As sick as it was, I also loved Child of God. So depraved, and no one did dark and depraved better than McCarthy.
No Country for Old Men was masterful, both the book and the movie.
All the Pretty Horses was also incredibly good.

I actually was being nice and giving UGA props… but I guess it’s easier to to be critical than actually read what I wrote.

You were so close to making a post and not including UGA... Just kidding, your obsession with our team knows no limits. Just admit it Smokey. We all know you won't.
