Apologize to the conference in this thread for that embarrassment. You can’t lose to Purdue.

With a whistle like that its hard to win.

Needing someone else besides Dalton but everyone was in foul trouble.

So this year's SEC Champs/Elite 8 BasketVOLs that were a fixture in the top 10 rankings virtually all season long-all while playing one of the most difficult OOC/overall strengths of schedules-must 'apologize" to "the league" for enduring a hard fought defeat to the 1 seed in a regional final against a 7 foot 5 reigning NPOTY carnival freakshow of a Center who happened to be on the team that was also #1 overall in all of D1 basketball with their 3 point made %?

Ugh, hate how Tennessee basketball really embarrassed the overall brand of SEC basketball this season! You'd think the middle of the pack basketball programs would be thankful for how we elevated the overall profile and RPI/NET opportunities for our fellow SEC opponents this year. It's not like our efforts and high ranking metrics across the board helped contribute to 8 SEC programs in total ultimately being invited to go dancing this March. Programs like aTm, Kentucky, and Miss State who were fortunate enough to collect wins against us on their resumes wasn't at all helpful in their efforts to secure/elevate their spot in this tournament.

Not our fault the entire SEC outside of Bammer and us got sniped by random arse schools on the first weekend. Hopefully LSU gets back to dancing in the next four years. Talk about an up and coming basketball program!

We didn't lose to Purdue. We lost to Edey and company getting an insane amount of foul shots AKA free points.

Besides the free throws, Vols outscored Purdue and won. Too bad that refs get to pick and choose like that.
