Vol fans - what if Saban/Kiffin pulled a Bowden/Scott?

Long story short. Brad Scott is fairly well despised among Gamecock fans as the coach that almost destroyed our program. Brad Scott was, of course, the OC under Bobby Bowden at FSU when they won their '94 MNC. Scott was considered a hot commodity so Mike McGee hired him, (same AD who hired Holtz and Spurrier).
Five years later we were almost ruined. He had driven our overall all-time record below .500 ... longest losing streak in the nation, etc.
Anyways, so Tommy Bowden hires him as his OLine coach at Clemson and Fat Bradstard jumps at the chance. At Clemson he proceeds to recruit against us, claims to know where all the skeletons are buried,etc. Total hypocrite scumbag ... claimed we were a racist institution, took old clippings from the 50s and 60s of one of our sponsors at the time, around to recruits ... just a total scumbag, like Kiffin.
So his first yr as an assistant at Clemson, they win in Columbia ... and the players and coaches had scripted that Fat Bradstard be carried off the field, off of Carolina's field, on their shoulders.
Bama plays in Neyland this coming season, correct?
Will Kiffin use negative recruiting against Tennessee, claim to know where all the skeletons are buried in Knoxville ... and will Bama's players carry Kiffin off the field on their shoulders after they win up there this coming season?
We'll forever hate that mutha frickin' Fat Bradstard Scott.
Kiffin would not only NOT regret it ... he'd relish the opportunity.

Don't think we've carried a coach off the field since Gene Stallings after winning the NC for the '92 season.
So I doubt we'd carry off an assistant coach with a 1 year relationship with a program that's currently struggling pretty hard.

Why on earth would a Saban-coached Bama team need to recruit negatively against Tennessee?
For the most part, Saban can pretty much pick and choose which recruits he wants and which recruits he'll leave for the Vols. There's absolutely no need for Kiffin to recruit negatively against UTk.

She's really not that hot in person ... and she's definitely plastic. Not a particularly sweet natured girl either.
I was around her several times back when her Daddy was coaching here, sheesh, had to be what, 15-20 years ago or so. She's trouble waiting to happen - got a mean and nasty disposition.
Lane and her will be back-dooring Saban from the moment they arrive - Brother Bill style, hoping to become the King one day.
I cannot imagine what Saban is thinking hiring that couple. No good will come of it, none.
BTW, her brother, David = scum bag. I knew him well. Her Daddy, John, has crapped on practically anyone and everyone who has ever tried to help him - knew him well also. I do hope he gets it together one day. Her husband, Lane ... well, Lane is Lane.
It will not end well. I honestly hate it for Bama ... and the pox they have brought into their house.

I think Saban can keep Kiffin in check. I very seriously doubt he's worried about Kiffin backdooring him.

I can sorta see what you're saying especially with the captain destructo comparison and then going to your most hated rival but Kiffin was here for a year and all the bodies would be his -- from his wrecking a university loaned car to the 'hostess' scandal to everything else he did. No one stuck from his team and Kiffin is universally reviled. It's not like it's just Tennessee saying "this guy is bad news."
Of course, that won't stop Kiffin from trying (tis his nature to be a snake) but I don't see how it impacts recruiting very much. Dooley pissed off Tennessee HS coaches by isolating them, I can't see Kiffin being welcomed by anyone but the one Memphis-guy (forget his name but he's one of those who inserts himself as a middle man) and he hates us anyway.

You're probably right Prof ... he was only there for a year and he never came across as, or tried to convince your fanbase, that he was a goody two shoes like Fat Bradstard did us here at SCAR .... and then attempt to completely destroy the program.

A lot of us never warmed up to him. He came across as cocky, arrogant, and sleazy out of the gate. Of course, some fans dug the attitude (they were tired of the always polite, always steady, stoic on the sidelines Fulmer) but a lot of us didn't. From the moment Kiffin opened his mouth I knew he'd have problems in Knoxville -- we still have enough of the old mountain 'never brag on yourself and always be polite' attitude entrenched in us culturally to where it was shocking to see a coach act like he did and to make matters worse he acted like that when he had nothing to back it up. You'll notice how Spurrier always throws out his barbs with humor, shows a sense of self-deprecating humor and doesn't brag on himself? That's the acceptable way to be cocky here.
I had no idea how bad Kiffin would be but I do remember thinking 'this guy's trouble and even if he wins he's gonna have a hard time fitting in here.'
And yeah Kiffin never tried to sell us on the idea that he was somehow 'good guy.' Nor was ever the kinda guy you could fall in love with -- he was pure unlikable a-hole but you hoped he could do something on the field.
