If you rush the field with the other team on the field you risk this. That said, it was blatant and caught on camera, it should probably get him a 1 game suspension.

Yes, a civil battery at a minimum. Could be criminal and a third degree battery if any physical injury resulted and felony battery if there was a serious physical injury which resulted.
