Is Verlander paying NIL? Not really sure what is going on here.

A starting pitcher plays, what, about 25-30 games a year?

He'll average over 1.5 million per game.

Good for him, but I cannot fathom how there's enough people watching MLB to continuously justify these salaries.

the Mets average around 35k a game.
what's an average ticket price, $30 or so (probably higher in New York)

that's $80 million just in regular season ticket sales.
obviously not all of that is profit, but just goes to show how much money is available.

I'm surprised that you had the testicular fortitude to resurface here after Cackolackey kicked that arse. My bet is that you're just hoping everyone forgot.

Tony V's gonna piss his pants in the super regionals again. It's what he does.
