Relax Francis.Few people(outside UT) know they piled up a shitload of those wins with Gen Neyland in the 20's,30's,40's and early 50's. The program was good not great in 60's and 70's and took a slight up tick in 80's with Majors.Obviously a big upturn in the 90' and slightly above mediocre since then.

It's been said plenty but, damn, the 1990s really hurt LSU...

I wasn't speaking only about the UA-UT game, hence "The lack of real football knowledge AND history of the game" comment. Duh

Barbara Uehling was the devil. Rejecting Prop 48 during the rise of ESPN was criminally dumb.

Are you on meds?

Don't think ANYONE on here has increased their "knowledge or history of the game" after reading one of your post.

Crazy. Tenn and Bama neck & neck pre-Saban.

Not sure why that is crazy to people on here. Are ya'll like 15?

You shouldn't be that surprised. Hell, I'm 35 and just vaguely remember Tennessee beating Auburn in the '97 (?) SECCG. I remember watching the National championship game the next year with Tee at QB. But those memories aren't very clear for me now.

It's been a long time since UT was relevant on the national scene. And just like AU, any success Tenn could muster, was not taken advantage of and no momentum could be sustained.

So I dont know why you are so surprised that all most people under the legal drinking age have no memories of UT ever winning a damn thing. I know what UT was, but just barely. The glory days of Tennessee football are well behind us and all the 18-30 yr olds have any firsthand knowledge of is the worst era in Tennessee history.

I think Arkansas was ahead of us still before last season. Now we're 8 or 9 up on them.

That was kind of my point. I guess I just didn't realize so many being barely drinking age on here.

With that, it's easy to see UGA passing Tennessee in 3 years or so.

Did you see Florida bringing up the rear of the SEC

Florida started playing football 15 years after everyone else.

The fact UF was able to make up that difference pre-Spurrier shows how above average those early teams were...not great, just not bad teams.

5 pages and nobody has suggested that tamu replace the gators in the BI6 based off those results?

Using your logic, A&M is also a better program than LSU because they've won more conference titles.

There's no shame in being the best team in the 2nd tier. With 9 more wins than Arky, you gators should be able to hold that spot for awhile.

Not so fast my friend. Vols will start winning more in the next few years
