I don’t know what’s crazier: the fact that Tennessee managed to briefly pass us in all-time wins around 2008, or the fact that, just over a decade later, we now have almost a 70-game lead on them. That’s wild.

This is what a lot of people don't seem to grasp about the Bama/UT rivalry. Yes, UT has fallen off. But, rivalries aren't based on recency bias. It was still a big rivalry in Bama's down years too.

I know most schools go through rough times, but Mizzou only won about 40 games total from 1984 to 1997. If Mizzou's even just a .500 team for those years they'd be ahead of Arkansas and close to Florida.

Seriously, this is a lesson for everyone, don't ever hire folks into the administrative roles that hate sports, which is what happened to Mizzou. Mizzou wandered in the desert for close to two decades because of those decisions.

That was solely because that was when about 30 wins got vacated which this is taking into consideration.

Tennessee, passing Alabama in 2007, "We're king now!"

Nick Saban, "Hold my process."

That’s awesome! Who knew as bad as Tennessee has been they are still relatively close to bama.

General Neyland went a long way towards that, plus Alabama pre-Saban / post-Stallings was a rough time.

Yep, that looked like when the cheating started and Bama's wins took off.

Anyway, I think Florida was still third to last on there at the time Spurrier took over as coach. Forget about QB.

laughable when Florida fans act like they are some kind of historic power

It is a surprise to see Arkansas finish so far ahead of Ole Miss. The two schools have been linked by similar fortunes over the years. Granted a lot of that was having to forfeit 33 wins by Ole Miss.

Ole Miss avoided Alabama like the plague - they rarely played in the Vaught years.
