9 conference games is actually fewer games for the conference overall.

That is voluntarily giving up product/revenue. That alone makes it one of the dumbest ideas.

Every team in the East with a permanent OOC opponent would also have a tougher time scheduling a 2nd home and home because of the 9th conference game strips a potential home game away every other year. So in addition to reducing the conference's tv inventory, we are reducing college campuses' home game revenue and scheduling flexibility as well.

When a conference is trying to be more like the pac10 or big10, then someone up top needs to be fired.

Oh, so he had zero input on schedule? He didn't want to play Bama ever and was a complete puss like you are.

The SEC schedule?No...are you freaking retarded?

That was decided among the AD's along with the rotation schedule.

Show me 1 shred of evidence to the contrary.

That would make the east way too good IMO. I think you would move AU and UA to the East and UF and Mizzou to the West. I understand that UF isn’t geographically west but that seems the fairest way to do it while keeping UT/UA, AU/GA, and UA/AU.

You think that it's by sheer luck UGA has barely played Bama since 1966?

So ADs just make the schedule with zero input from their football coaches?

Wow, you are much dumber than I thought.

Just kick out tamu, mizzou, arky and lsu. 3 of the last 4 in, and LSU who just whines too fricking much about conspiracies against them. Play a 9 game schedule against everyone.

No. No they don’t. We could move Alabama and Auburn to the East and Mizzou and Vandy to the West. Problem solved.

I’m sure that every Ole Miss fan would be in favor of that. So would the rest of the West teams.

Was it sheer luck UGA didn't play UT,MSU or LSU all those years as well.

You're completely clueless.

So, let me get this straight. The rivalries we need to keep every year are :
UT/UA
AU/GA
UA/AU

So maybe:

East :
Tennessee
Georgia
Auburn
Alabama
Vandy
South Carolina
Kentucky

West:
LSU
Florida
Mississippi State
Texas A&M
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Missouri

Well... you haven't shown the capability of presenting evidence to support your claim.

Is he really dumber than say... you?

Jesus, so who the fck did UGA even play. Dooley needs an asterisk next to his SEC "titles".

We need to allow DSOR, TSIO, etc. count as OOC games. That solves a lot of problems and keeps the games intact.

Common sense solution for the SEC would be to move Auburn to the east, Missouri to the west. 9 game SEC schedule with 3 cross division games. Just eliminate a cupcake game.

That leaves UGA with 2 non division games and rival GT at the end of the year.

This is what needs to happen. It solves the rotation problem, doesn't require that we drive the collective league record down closer to .500 by adding another conference game, and also solves the occasional divisional imbalance problem (i.e., when you've got Missouri in the SEC title game, that's because you've got one division much weaker than the other). A&M doesn't need to play Bama and Auburn every year--every other year would be just fine, if it means we get to play Tennessee, UGA and Florida every other year, too. Give us LSU and Arkansas, then we'll take Missouri (someone has to), and rotate the rest. NCAA would have to change the conference championship rule, but if past experience is any indication, this is just a formality.

Send Missouri and Texas A&M back to the Big 12 would fix the problem and that would also help the Big 12! Just kidding.

Vandy goes where you go.....so they stay in the east or you go west with them.

But now you need multiple tie-breakers due to non-common opponents.

Then do the math for tie-breakers sorting all 14 schools due to lack of common opponents.

WRONG! No game vrs. another SEC team will be counted as non-conference.

This puts UGA & UF together for WLOCP.
