re: Video of Grantham and Franklin Confrontation

I like you 1979. I like all the dawg posters. And you're doing what I should honestly, looking half full. But every group needs the cynical arse hole, and since I joined that's been my job. That being said you don't have to be cynical to pick up on these:

This what I saw:
- a team that came out flat which while expected is yet another given on richt led teams
- our OL is still incapable of consistent run blocking
- our team was once again out coached after Franklin made adjustments and we do what we always do, the same fricking thing
- I saw 440 yds of offense with 6 attempted FGs. Only 4 made. VS Vanderbilt
- I saw our DL get no pressure and get gouged by a Vandy OL so thin that in the spring game they had to play both offenses
- I saw our special teams get shite on, again, and richt continues to explain we don't need a special teams coordinator
- I see very little improvement in conditioning through 7 games
- I grantham not only lose composure but get schooled yet again
- I saw penalties galore. Again.
- I saw a vanilla game plan. Again.
- I saw that with 7 seconds left and an obvious punt block situation and they actually got it

I'm not saying we won't win the east but we have no business doing so. This team would be getting shite on in the days of the normal east. But we will continue to be spoon fed horse shite and look around and brag about the beef patte we had that was fantastic. I can't see us winning out with how little we are improving and how poorly we are led. I love UGA bur being a fan isn't fun anymore.

I'm sorry man I hate to be the one negative guy. There were positives. Bennett kicks arse, Murray looked better-ish, and we had ok pass blocking. I just see too many problems.

And I'd help y'all defend Todd because AU can't point fingers but I've never liked him and last night he cursed out the vandy parents section including one of my best friends moms. I hope he gets fired tonight.

Pretty much the money quote of this thread. We all just handle it in different ways. Last night, I wanted them all fired too. But I woke up, realized that can't happen until January and realized I like winning ugly more than losing pretty.

Can I take one more year of this bullshite? Probably not, and I'll likely snap in the Spring if/when I see the same shite happen again.

My conclusions from last night:
- Brandon Bogotay was the biggest waste of scholarship money in the state's history. Walsh is hot garbage and Bogotay still can't get a shot? Also, someone said Walsh has a weed problem off the field. ANy idea about that?
- Our OL is ridiculously pitiful. I don't know hoenstly who to blame: Friend or the players? They're just not a good unit, no matter how big they are
- DL wasn't THAT bad. Rodgers just bailed out well by running and made some good throws. But more often than not Rodgers had to throw it away or scramble. The real problem was not having an ILB assigned to watch Rodgers at all times. Dude killed us with his feet
- Game plan was stupidly vanilla. Bobo seems to go into these games looking to run the same boring shite so he can adjust later. Absolutely 0 kilelr instinct on the offensive side of the ball and it costs us dearly. As the scoreboard goes, so does the defensive gameplanning, so does the mentality of the team, so does the mentality of the freshmen and walk ons on ST. You have to think aggressive to play aggressive. telling Richard Samuel to run hard and plow over somebody on a 2nd and long HB Dive is NOT aggressive play calling
- 3 picks last night. I love it
- Shawn Williams and Gilliard are quickly becoming two of my favorite players on the field. Defense as a whole could be a VERY solid unit when totally healthy and not making up for the mistakes of the offense
