He's referring to a story published by ESPN about a RB for our 1957 team, who was ruled innocent in a trial.
Dude shot a guy who was pointing a gun in his face, I'd say that's a natural human reaction.

well, he said that a gun was pointed at him...
It's ok though, he didn't know it was against the law.

I wish he'd just give me a numerical value so I can understand.

No, he didn't defend any dirty play. But I'm certain you won't let the fact get in your way. By all means, continue on.
Gene Chizik defends DT Nick Fairley
^ headline
quote:
Gene Chizik called the notion that the Lombardi Award winner is a dirty player "absurd."
quote:
sometimes he's going to be very aggressive and people are going to get hurt," Chizik said

It's a reputation that has followed Fairley somewhat since midseason after he bodyslammed several quarterbacks, including Arkansas' Ryan Mallett and LSU's Jordan Jefferson in consecutive weeks

Earlier in the Georgia game, he planted his helmet into Murray from behind and was flagged for a late hit

What you guys don't understand is that smith kicked him in a godly way
Posted on 1/11/11 at 4:31 pm to tbonebrah
He was gettin his arse reamed because he went for the legs and got away from his form last year and going for the defenseless head.
Posted on 1/11/11 at 4:31 pm to Alahunter
Takes kicking arse to a whole new meaning ....
Posted on 1/11/11 at 4:36 pm to tbonebrah
I pulled for the barners till that point & then I wished Oregan would win. That is not the first dirty player Aub. has had. Remember the Dorsey hit a couple years ago? frick Aub~!

It really wasn't all that bad. It was stupid as hell. All he did was knee his buttpadding.

Typical thug. Yea, Chizik chewed his arse but Auburn's players behaved like this all season with relative impunity.
while I do not condone what Eric Smith did, I do get a big kick out of a GA fan calling any other player from any other program a thug.
Thanks for the laugh.

The way I look at it is this: what Georgia or any other team's players do has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the validity of said team's fans' opinions. After all, did the Georgia fan do anything wrong?
I call it "bullshite moral relativism" for a reason, and it's pretty lame and transparent to use it to deprecate a blatant display of thuggery.
And yeah, I saw how you prefaced the comment by saying you don't condone what Smith did. That doesn't change the fact that you not only immediately fricking qualified the statement with bullshite, but actually wrote the whole disingenuous comment AROUND the bullshite qualifier.
Take that fricking bullshite somewhere else.
