They lose their QB and RB. Plus, despite the Rant's epic boner for Vanderbilt football, it's still Vanderbilt. Y'all play them up a little too much on here. I anticipate a close game where Mizzou pulls it off.

I think you may be playing mizzou football up a lot if you think you'll beat vandy.

If Mizzou played at Mississippi State would you mark it down as a for sure win?

This thread is way to depressing. It needs more homerism like the majority of threads on here have.

No, what's your point? It's a prediction thread based on my opinion, and I think we'll beat Vandy.

Who is starting at QB for Mizzou coming into this season? And with a new OC correct?

People said the same about Kentucky around 2007 when we reeled off 5 consecutive bowl games. And we beat some pretty good teams in the process. I certainly wouldn't underestimate Vandy until Franklin leaves. Especially since they've built their success on defense.

We get them the credit they're due based on what they accomplished on the field. They are a bowl team, and most expect them to win their bowl game as well.

I would bet large that Vandy wins. I expect most on here would, too. And around the country. Vandy football has more respect than Mizzou football does, because they've earned it.

Obviously, I'm talking about right now. Before Franklin, Vandy was always a tough out for anyone early in the year...just ask Ole Miss.

Vandy would usually fade in the latter part of the year due to attrition from injuries and lack of depth. Since Franklin came in, Vandy is better as the season goes on.

Vandy was playing their best ball at the end of the year, something we've never seen happen before.

True enough. I'm not taking away anything from Vandy...they are definitely making strides and gaining recognition. I respect what Franklin is doing there without a doubt. It's just my opinion that we will beat them. I didn't realize predicting a W over Vandy could cause such an uproar.

Because most just saw it as a homer pick. Including me. I think Mizzou is a few years away from competing in the east.

In fact, if Pinkel is forced out, I would highly recommend you steal Franklin from Vandy. I don't know another coach out there that does more with less.

I don't think Mizzou will be in the East long. We'll add some more teams and they'll move West.

Well, agree to disagree then. It really depends on what our QB situation is. If we have another year like this year, then we absolutely would lose to Vandy. However, if we can get decent play out of our QB, it's my opinion that we will beat Vandy, and I stand by it.

Wow, you play Vandy, UGA, FL and then USC...that's a touch stretch right there. We're catching y'all at the right time.

6-6 is a solid prediction

Well the rest of your list isn't exactly controversial.

I think my issue with your logic that it isn't a toss up at best is that you're knocking Vandy for losing a QB and a RB when your own team will have a new OC and from the way you talk are not even sure who your QB will be coming into the season.

Also I believe Vandy returns quite a few on defense and they were quite a bit better at season's end then a lot of SEC teams. Statistically they finished the season as Top 5 in Total Defense in conference. Mizzou was 10th.
