Here is how Vegas sees the teams chances of winning it all, in order from best chance to worst.

1. LSU -150
2. Bama +150
3. Ok State +450
4. Oklahoma +1500
5. Arkansas +2000
6. Oregon +2500

It's based on a $100 bet. A negative number means you bet that much to get $100. Apositive number means you bet $100 and that's your payout. Our payout sucks dog nuts. I'd rather bet the remaining 4 LSU games straight up, which I wouldn't do either.

So if I put a dollar on LSU to win it all, and they do, I owe another $150.00?

Means LSU is the overwhelming favorite to win it all (you bet $150 to win $100). Bama is the second favorite to win it all with odds 3x what Ok State has.

No. A bet on LSU pays out 2/3 of the original bet. The odds suck arse.

You would win 67 cents for every dollar bet, minus those nice commissions.

If you are betting on Bama, yes. If you are betting on LSU you have to bet $1.50 in order to get $1 based on the odds posted.

You bet 1.50. You get 2.50 back if LSU wins it all.

You have to bet a buck fifty to win one dollar if you like LSU.

If oregon runs them table I can see tge talking heads putting them in them game even though they dont believe they're better than bama. But I'd wait until after this weekend to make surr they get past usc, Tywho I think will beat them, games at usc and uo just beat and overrated stanford team and will gave the big head. Although $20 to wins $ 500 is pretty tempting and I know them odds will change .

Oklahoma at + 1500 IMO is them best bet on them board.

The oregon odds don't surprise me. They have no chance. Ou at +450 does. Winner of them/osu is almost definitely in IMO.

I'm grabbing futures on 2012 in march on LSU, Arky, UGA if they are high. Having a -150 and not being a massive favorite heading in to the BCSCG is rediculous. We have 4 games left hypothetically to win it all, 3 against very dangerous teams. These odds basically mean Vegas guarantees LSU is going all the way. I think we were +2500 to start the year or something.

Not really. It means Vegas needs to balance the book on bets that have LSU at longer odds.

So let me get this straight. Everyone in the nation is saying Alabama has nothing but a wish and a prayer for things to fall just right to get back into the NCG. Yet, we have better odds than OSU the #2 team?

Anyone else see that as ****ed up?

Part of it is a function of who Vegas thinks can actually beat LSU. Just making up numbers, but let's say that a team has 2x the chance that you do to make the big game, but you have a 10x better chance to beat LSU once you get there, your "odds of winning it all" will be higher.
